was it in any dobut although i know beckham and owen will try and get him there only with sven they just hate us dnt they media,pundits etc

not to forget ex players well ex player mark lawerson said gerrard should join chelsea when there was speculation he was gonna leave and we got chelsea in a couple of weeks i cnt wait

GERRARD DISMISSES MADRID RUMOURS
Steve Hunter 11 September 2004
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has quickly moved to deny rumours of a possible move to join Michael Owen at Real Madrid and says he has told Rafael Benitez it is not true.
Gerrard says he is happy at Anfield under the new Benitez regime and added the rumours are just pure speculation.
Gerrard said: "There's nothing I can do about speculation. I spoke to the boss and told him it wasn't true. I've made it very clear I'm happy at Liverpool."
