I believe no eulogy exists that could  equate to what this man brought to our City and our football team

God Bless your Sir

“Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless, who strove and worried so that others could share the glory, and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say 'We're Liverpool'.”

Thank you Mr. Shankly...

I attended the first home game at Anfield after Bill Shankly died, against Swansea. John Toshack was Swansea manager but wore a Liverpool shirt that day.

It was a highly charged afternoon after Swansea fans broke the minutes silence and many where in the Kop end.

RIP.

They don't make anyone like that anymore   :(

Often wondered, especially this last decade, what Shanks would have done with the squads we've had. My immediate thoughts have been.

1, he wouldn't have let 40% of them through the door
2, he would've immediately shipped out another 40%
3, with the remaining 20% , in his own words " They'll have to bring a team from Mars to beat us" !

Those days clubs were managed by true lions. A great legend, words cannot describe.
