Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,

Never heard of him , dont want anymore unknowns comin in, we want good quality well known players from now on, thats why where in the situation we are now, thru unknown unproven players.
Quality not quantity from now on.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Well said Cisse,
Too many 'Car Boot Sale' purchases already, it says it all when we are competition with Southampton.
Harry Redknap, normally only buys from agents who give good 'kick backs' - ask Pompey !!

Keep going Cisse,
What about Nunez, Biscan, Diao, Cheyrou, Vignal, Diarra,Traore, Luzi, Medjani.
All baragain basement, unknowns available as special offers with lots of 'potential'
As I have said in prvious posts it is about time we started buying proper jewels from the Jewellers instead of all these un-cut diamonds that turn out to be just glass from 'bit's of broken bottles'

i suppose theres no reason to have scouts then we can just look at who's playing well in national sides and put bids in on them.(yeah thats sarcasm again).Just because he is unknown dont mean he is ****** admittedly the GH era shook us all but having faith in the new manager go's right down to unknown signings that he wants to look at.

I say that we've got enough squadies and kids and that we should be buying serious talent first.

Ron, just run your finger down the list. All failures bar none, not a single worthwhile nugget on the list !

I believe Garcia played a few games for Spain, or was at leat on the fringes of the squad.

and whoever said alonso wasn't proven quality, well he was an important member of the Spain squad, a key player for Real Sociedad and had top clubs like Real Madrid and Man Utd chasing him as well as us.

the biggest shame on this "proven quality.. unknown quality" debate is that we've never had an unknown purchase in our ranks that has gained international recognition BECAUSE of playing really well for liverpool!!! .i.e Edu for Arsenal.

garcia hasnt played for spain but has been called up for the squad before. Also Josemi was tipped for call up after performing impresively last season. Pelligrino has played in two champions league finals and won the spanish title three times, so is proven quality.

Risse , Baros ,alonso,Hyppia  are the four unknowns that spring to mind prolly our best four signings in the last 6 years Daio and diouf where setting the world alight when we bought them as was harry kewell i know its not all the signings in the sqad and the bad do outway the good but its just to emphasise the point because someone is Unknown dont mean there no good.
