Lakes, you and Benny can go fk yourselves really. the problem with the both of you is that you're so high up your pompous horses that you're unable to see reality. abuses can happen anyway and everywhere, be it during the match, or in the tunnel before the game. it can be said by a player to another, or by some fans. it can be made verbally, or posted online. it cannot be controlled because there are too many factors involved.

if the both of you had things your way, football would be managed like North Korea.

yes and you said it in you post and you should be banned for it. sorry mate but if you said  black or white its still the same thing its Racism  and you was out of order for saying it.

go on, report me then  :kungfu:

you're scared aren't you?
you feel as though you're walking on egg shells don't you?
everything you say has to be filtered.
every word you utter or type might be interpreted as an insult.
would it be objectively or subjectively my lord?

see what society is today? it's too sensitive for its own good.

maypax, whats your ethnic background? If we all just take the pee it'll be fine.

I'm part scottish, people take the pi$$ all the time, if I went to the police after every comment I'd never be out of there

To be honest I see your point here, BUT what you wrote was a little harsh to say the least when it comes from someone you dont know. In this day and age it would get you in trouble and if you're honest you know that.

But on the other side, it backs up what I said about sensitvity as well. Cant win really can we?  :sniffle

 , I've said it before in the Bellamy thread if someone comes up to me and tells me ''shut up you f*cking arab c*nt" I'll hardly call that racist towards me, its just an insult sure, but not a racist abuse.

But anyways everyone has his/her opinion, so lets keep it civilized peeps

We live in a multi cultural society and we have to understand other people and realise people take offence at different things - yes sometimes it is a bit too much PC but it doesn't take much for someone not to open their mouth or type something .

Max just typed away throwing insults without thinking of the harm they could cause to someone - at worst it was racism at least it was pure ignorance and lack of education.

We don't have to live in a nanny state but we do have to recognise that we can't just say whatever we want - I'm all for free speech but it must be respectful .

Hey Kenny,

i don't dispute with anything which you said. but i just feel in general this whole racism stigma our club is carrying is a molehill which the journos and some posters on here make a mountain of.

it gets so ridiculously sensitive that when i make a joke about how we should buy Bent and Agbonlahor to combat this stigma our club has about about people of a certain color, i'm told it's a stupid comment. sure i may not place smiley faces bla bla but at least i'm not meaning what i say and as Daws says, just taking the pee. some people just take sensitivity to a whole new level.

on a lighter note. when the oldham fans were singing 'your just a town full of racists'. one lad behind me turned to another and said. 'what are they on about? we're a f**kin city!'.
thought that was very funny, you can always rely on the scousers to find humour in any situation.

The problem with racism is its too confusing to understand
Those who say "racism is unnacceptable" rarely attempt to clearly define what it is exactly. Instead we have interpretations and opinions over what it is, and when its actually happenning. Suarez and Terry are two such examples. What Terry said, for me, is blatant racism. His defense is that he was saying "Fu*king black cu'nt" in order to tell Ferdinand that he hadnt said it. He is a slippery fu'cker as we know and amoral so we will have to wait for the outcome of that case. The Suarez case was based solely on the word of a known accuser and someone who had been tormented and humiliated by him in a previous game and was doing the same in this one.
Such are the times we live in that the mere accusation can be as powerful as actually saying the words. Add on to this the dangerous and irresponsible press and we have the situation we find ourselves in. No attempt whatsoever from the FA to clarify its position or stop the witch-hunt which is now turning Suarez into the victim. Why hasnt Evra come out and said "enough is enough" and ask the press to leave him alone and other fans not to abuse Suarez?
Is it because Evra and the FA are actually enjoying whats going on?

Statement from Liverpool FC

Liverpool Football Club continue to work closely with Merseyside Police to establish all the facts surrounding the incident that occurred during last night's game.

We take this matter extremely seriously and have today provided the Police with the evidence we currently have available to us.

This includes CCTV coverage and still photography of what we believe to be the relevant part of the stadium, statements from matchday stewards in that area and full access to all the footage captured by the cameras filming the match for our in-house tv operation.

In addition, we have examined records of the tickets purchased in that part of the ground to see if they provide any additional information and have passed that on to the Police.

Finally, we would also urge any of our supporters who witnessed this incident or saw the individual involved and who have not already done so, to contact either the Club or the Police.
