you sir are a disgrace.

re football discussion, Souness inherited a team that Kenny left behind, a team that hadnt played in Europe for years and whilst 3-4 years earlier played great football were now tired and old, Souness couldnt turn it around. Benitez had a fabulous team and squad and has screwed it up with his dogmatic approach and man management or lack of. Poor comparison.

I'm a disgrace? How the f*ck am I a disgrace for calling Rony a gobshyte. If you actually listened to his past rants, you'd know what I'm talking about. Like some of the rest on this forum - get a clue before talking.

you wanna nip over the rawk site  :oh: its like the invasion of the bodysnatchers, all organising hit squads to assasinate the great Ronnie Whelan etc for being anti rafa naysayers. really bizarre!! btw this is the worse Liverpool team since Souness' finest..... probably even worse than them actually  I wouldnt mind Klinsmann at the moment.

RAWK is the biggest independant Liverpool related forum on the internet. It's also a hub for groups like SOS etc etc. If you want to go by the general fan base consensus, then there is a good place to get a good guage of it. Oh, and Ronny Whelan is a absolute gobshyte. If you ever watch RTE, then you'd know what I'm talking about. He talks absolute balls and makes Dunphy look smart.

I also can't understand how anyone can say that this is the worst side, even poorer than Souness' side. How can it be? People seem to omitt the single fact that Souness took a great side, a title winning side, and dismantled it, replacing it with poorer players and selling off the best. Benitez hasn't done this as he hasn't had a title winning outfit to build from, or destroy. In fact, again, you omitt this is virtually the same side as last seasons. Our form is as poor as that Souness side, but the quality of our squad isn't.

But in that case Rafa must be the worst manager ever. He has virtually the same team as last season and we are now utter garbage as a footballing side. At least Souness had to sell quality players to acheive that, Rafa managed it with the same players, and yet people defend him and call him a genius, it is quite astounding.

Do me, and yourself, a massive favour and just stop talking. Honest to f*ck, that post is indicative of the absolute clueless sh*te I've been reading from some of our fan base recently. Back when Souness was in charge, it was easy to pinpoint the problem, and easy to come up with the obvious solution. Souness made monumental errors regarding the team, and as such had repercussions even to this day. The solution was simple: sack him and replace with a viable and readily available replacement in the tradidtions of LFC. Do we even have that option today? We are run by a pack of morons who are skint, have plunged this club into disrepute and massive debt, and now the club has a reputation as a sinking ship which no reputable manager with a brain will want to take over. Now, compare that to our situation in the early 90's. Stark contrast, would you not agree?

well everyone knows the situation.

its time for our lesser known stars to stand up and be counted. deja vu? no shi.t!

but doesnt make it any less true. there'll be no looking to Gerrard or Torres on the pitch to the rescue/pass to constantly even when its not the best option......they'll have to remember what they are paid alot to do. and then do it for us, not them....fu*k them.....for us, cos we are the only ppl affiliated with LFC this season that deserve it.

We are well and truly f..u..c....k...e..d :(

Twit and :censored: had better get their wallets out because 4th place is well and truly out of the question if we don't bring in some new faces fast. A forward, a Full-Back and another wide man is desperately needed.

Can anyone see us beating Stoke away this weekend or spurs at home next week with the dregs of this squad? We're quite capable of losing both games :(

IMO Scott we need a left back, a centre back, two wingers and a back up striker

depending on Maxi of course

that might be best saved for another thread tho  :D

I think Maxi was a smart move mate (good pedigree and cheap as chips) and i've no doubt there are some other smart moves still out there to be had but we've got to move quickly. He's not everyone's cup of tea but someone like Luca Toni (we've missed the boat on that one) would have been another good shout. with this being a World Cup year it's the perfect time to pick up a player who has fallen out of favour at his current club but is desperate to get back into World Cup reckoning.

Yeah it can get worse....much worse.Im sure Im not alone in being distracted all day and in rotten form. And Im sure I am not alone in getting endless texts and abuse from every other fuc'ker you know who likes the game we are struggling so hard to play lately....its hard to bite your tongue at times, especially when the kunt giving the abuse is someone you are not all that fond of.

It can get worse this weekend for starters. If I was a Stoke player Id be looking forward to playing us,in fact such is the state of our team at present I think they have a very good chance of beating us.What the fu'ck have we become and how the fuc'k have we become what we are so quickly?
Im bemused at how we can run close to winning the EPL in one season and then the next consistently play the most dull, passionless and pathetic football in the League. Its not over the top to say that teams in the relegation zone are playing far better football than us...its a fact.

Up until now in this season, our results and form were nothing to do with luck,They were all our own fault. But now we have our two best players injured and probably our biggest attacking threat(Yossi) bar the big two fuc'ked as well. This is absolutely rotten luck we could say....or is it.We have all known for some time that Torres needed an op and Gerrard was slightly injured and carrying a niggle.Out of sheer desperation to get out of a black hole the manager persisted playing both and now look what has happened? Sorry but IMO this is not bad luck,if you play guys that are carrying an injury no matter how slight there is only ever gonna be one outcome. It will sooner or later escalate...The unlucky part is that both happened at the same time. The reality is that the fact they are both injured as was always gonna happen is Rafas fault for playing them so much instead of getting them the treatment required.
Saying this Im 100% sure that if he had not played them he would have been hammered anyway as people would have been saying "A 70% Torres is better than a 100%  Ngog"....probably true that but an injured Torres is as much use as Dot Cotton to us now!

I feel for Rafa, last nights interview post match was embarrassing for him and cringeworthy to watch as a passionate fan...it was actually very very sad to see.
The only thing I can give him credit for is actually doing a post game interview. In such dire circumstances many managers would shy away from the venomous questions from a patronizing journo and sent someone else out or just have said feck all.But we all know that Rafa is as stubborn as a mule and out he came trying to put a brave face on things...it did not work.Sorry but the truth is he looked like a fool!

Some on here I feel may gloat when he finally leaves(I fell now it will be soon barring a miracle),whether it be by sacking with a pay off, walking away or the one that is most likely, that term"mutual consent" (which means you will never really know what happened in plain English)

I could probably write a list now of at least 10 idiots on here that will be doing these.
:buttrock and saying thank fu'ck and all that when the day comes
Im sure most on here will agree that Rafa has allways had the clubs best interest at heart but his methods and to a certain extent lack of personality just are not right for LFC in the longrun.Im sure he is hurting now more than us now, yeah he gets a wage we can only dream of but ultimately Id say success would give any football manager more of a buzz than any amount of cash ever will and is more important.
So hopefully when the day comes we can all wish him the best at Real Madrid and remember the good times he gave us rather than gloat and insult the man...it will not be a happy day!

Just pray to whoever you pray to that the two incompetent penniless pathetic imbeciles that "own" our great club bring someone in to replace him up for the job. With Klinsman almost here a while back because hes a friend or a friend of a friend or lives in California or whatever incomprehensible reason they had for him....I dont have any reason to believe the man in question will be what we need....so yeah things can get worse.

Bad times, sad times and Im gutted! :(

I really can't believe people here are comparing Souness to Rafa.  :no

Top post mate.

This pretty sums up most of the fans on the forum and the pain they are going though now.

With the exception of the clueless muppets on both extremes, one side who has followed him blindlessly and can't bring themselves to swallow their pride and admit they are WRONG and the other side which have called him all kinds of sick derogatory names under the sun, these are sad, cruel times for the true fans of the club.

Liverpool has a way of winning spectacularly but also has a way of self imploding even more spectacularly. Despite all this lift your heads high, fellas, this won't last forever because if there is one thing we all know, we are still LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB, it's halftime and we are 3-0 down but WE will bounce back.

YNWA.
