Nunez - I feel sorry for the bloke.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

For a transfer makewieght (yeh I know Rafa said he wanted to sign him anyway. Same way Keegan said he wanted Keith Gillespie when he sold Andy Cole to Man U) Nunez gets a lot of mentions. I only hope that when he does eventually play, people don't expect a miracle. His abilities have been built up to almost mythical proportions in his absense. Might be best if St Mike trawls throught the video libraries and finds some clips of him falling over it just to dampen down everyones enthusiasm a touch.

Agreed.

I expect a player no better than Josemi in terms of ability.

Obviously a bit different.

An option and no more. Hopefully he'll be better than this.

I heard from a reliable source that he is a cross between Johann Cruyff and Maradona.....should have said nothing, I hope I haven't got your hopes up.

I've heard comments about him only from Rafa's interview on LFC.tv. According to Rafa Nunez is a briliant player that is essential to this squad. Whether that is true or not we will see.

Good point, good players are bought and sold all the time, doesn't mean that their bad just cos a club sells a player :;):

Watched him on the  RMTV channel last season and while he aint going to set Anfield alight with trickery he looks like exactly the type of player for Raffa and the right side will give a lot fewer balls away in the middle third of the pitch.
Looking forward to seeing him.

Real has the "galacticos" - hence Nunez can't get a game with the likes of Figo and *cough*beckham.

Lets hope he can press on the wing, but also hold the ball when we have to as JohnBull says. We give away too much possession in the middle third.
