Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Been looking at the new Reebok kits in the prem and they all seem to have the nasty iron on badges like our away kit, it looks like all Reebok kits in future will have this  :(

I hope the new home kit doesn't  :no

Actually we wont have reebok after this season again. Reebok have been bought out by adidas recently in a munlti bollion dollar takeover. So i would assume Liverpool wopuld have adidas as of next year unless they choose to go with nike instead. I wonder what bolton are gonna do. Isnt their stadium called the Reebok ?

Yup, the reebok, just like Leicester with the Walkers stadium, suicide if you name a ground after a sponsor in my opinion.

Nah I don't think changing your ground name every 5 mins is a good idea, the stadium is your identity :)

People think Anfield as soon as you say LFC, and thinking 'The Del Monte Stadium' doesn't scare teams as much.

I think it's ok to have stadium sponsorship. Like it's been said already, when you think of Liverpool, you think Anfield. Who cares if they "officially" name it "The Clintons Cards Arena" or whatever. To us, to our team, and to everyone else it will always be Anfield, but if some big wigs and people who know sweet f a about football want to give it a special name, which will mean we get £50m, who cares. A rose by any other name, would still smell as sweet. Although I don't think I'd be happy sending my valentine a bunch of Guffclumps. :D

On the reebok takeover its worth noting that big players Ballack Beckham have big individual contracts with adidas. Now that they have merged i wonder if we can incorporate them into our club via the merchandising route. Adidas will take the European side of the company whereas Reebok is going to concentrate on North America. Does that mean we are going to have Adidas kits again. I hope so and what about beckham for right wing?

from what i understand about the Reebok takeover- apparently it won't change things at all in terms of the individual brands, it'll just give adidas/reebok the joint strength (and purchasing power) to challenge Nike the market leader.

Which means we'll still have Reebok Kits :(
If we were sponsored by Kit Kat we could have Kit Kat Kits

Jeez, wats the problem with reebok kits? If you remember back to the adidas kits we had, they weren;t all that good. The reebok home kit that we have now is the best one that I can think of in a long time.

Ok, the away kits haven't bin all that good (black and grey one), but  wat about the 2002 one and this seasons kit?
