New away shirt .... getting worse - Quality of shirt

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby I8BlueNoses » Thu Aug 04, 2005 11:47 am

I have been buying Liverpool shirts for years, season after season

I have just got my new away shirt this morning and i am disgusted that the shirt has a Sticker as a badge ffs, where is the embroided Liverpool Crest, anyone else agree the quality of these £40 Reebok shirts are getting worse ..... ???

We all know they cost very little to make but surely removing the Embroided crest is just another way of cutting cost !!!

I have only seen pictures myself, but will not be buying it if the badge is like that.
I've got the badge on me right arm anyways, so i dont always buy the shirts.

its not really like a sticker but both the badge and carlsberg logo are flat on the shirt and have the same feel as the name and number on the back, it was supposedly done on the players requests as for more comfort as ive read

home kit changes every 2 seasons so there will be a new one at the end of this season, i will be buying the new away shirt i think it looks really good and is a lot better than many previous away shirts, just because of this small change everyone isnt going to buy it?

The badge and sponsor are basically printed on, it's not a bad idea as far as the Carlsberg bit is concerend as it tend's to fade quickly in it's previous ( and current home shirt ) state. On my home shirt, which I wear no more than twice a week, my Carlsberg logo turned like a dirty white colour around the edge's, it :censored: me off to say the least. I think the new printed method will last much longer, however, it could eventually crack and peel off.

I think we need a new shirt maker, either go back to Adidas or try Nike. Reebok arn't the greatest maker's of sport's equipment if I'm honest. How long is left on the Reebok deal anyway, anyone know?

i only buy 1 shirt every 2 years and the 'new' away kit will be changed next season, so i think I'll wait until then
