That team to me suggests he made the right move. He didn't let emotion into it and he'll benefit as your failure to strengthen and our sucess in strengthening immensely means we'll be much better than you this season.
You again ?
On here ?
Cant you take a hint lad ?
That looks a good team on paper, so what its managed by Souness, you imo have had better teams recently and still won f@ck all.
This year will be no different.
Lad if you fancy a day out take a look around the trophy room at Anfield, it is a magical tour.
I know thats the past but what a history....whats yours ?
I cant wait until you come crashing down to earth.
best team we've had in years, by far. Each and every player on that pitch will give 100% and thats what Souness has brought us and what we were lacking before. Also we have a whole new and much improved midfield and our strikeforce doesn't need mentioning.
Reading Andy Gray's article this morning, he's astounded that Chelsea let parker go as he thinks he's the natural makalele replacement and has shown what a fantastic player he is to have in front of the back four.
So with our immense attacking options, which means Dyer and Bowyer will be on the bench, and Parker breaking up play in front of our defence and with the likes of taylor and boumsong back there, I don't see how you can argue that we're not a better team than you.
You have crouch ffs!
Crouch scored more than Shearer last year, and Shearer took pens as well and played in europe.
Shearer has done it consistantly for the last 10 years. You've signed Lurch based on one season. He's always looked poor to me.
Thats an opinion lad, we'll talk about it at the end of the season.
We cant sign him based on the last 10 years cos he wasn't playing.
I am not for any minute saying he is better than Shearer...just pointing out that fact that potentialy he looks a good prospect...despite his strange appearance.
Look at him though I don't think he strikes anyone as the player to help you contend towards the top.
Based on looks ?
What has that got do with anything ?
He will give us a different option, and although it was only a friendly he didnt look out place in an England shirt...the largest Umbro have ever made.
I think fat boy Fowlers was probably bigger than crouch's. I mean look at his game, he just wasn't the right signing for you.

What part of his game are you talking about.
His build up play is spot on and has surprised me alot.
I bet you have seen only clips of his headed goals and assume he is just a target man.
He WILL prove people wrong i am sure of that, i will predict 15 goals from him this season.
And i would say judge him if you have actually seen him play a couple of games.

Great start kid. With Souness as your manager as well (don't you think we've tried that one?).
It's so hard to take newcastle seriously.

tomm0 - how would the team look with say Given, Owen, Emre and Luque injured?
Liverpook were without Dudek/Kirkland, Cisse, Gerrard/Alonso, Kewell for long periods last year and yet still were well above N/c and won the Champions League
