Beautiful image that. That is the greatest tribute a Spaniard can do to someone, to take him over his shoulders, like the big bullfighters and used in every circunstamce of life in which you want to pay tribute to a legend or a hero

Well done Reina!! Hyypia really deserves to be taken in the shoulders like a hero and leave Anfield through the biggest door.

That's nice that.

Looks like Sami has a tear in his eye there.

Have to say though, I thought Benitez left it very late to bring him on.

Either way, I think Sami's genuinely sorry to leave Liverpool FC.

Sad day.

A nice end to a good season today.  Would have loved a cleansheet, though, for Pepe to equal VDS's total.  A hattrick for Gerrard to get above the greaseball would have been nice as well.  Oh and Sami getting that last header through Gomes too...

Ah feck it...nice win lads and ta for a very enjoyable season.  More of the same next year (plus the silverware, of course). :nod

Rafa wanted to leave it til the 90th so Sami could get it all, but the fans wanted him on earlier... Sami will be back. Rafa wants him back, everyone wants him back in some form of coaching role

A very nice end to an overall much improved season. Only major blip was in January but as long as we learn from it and come back even stronger next season then I think the other clubs are really going to have to up their games to stop us getting number 19.  :buttrock

Now let the transfer b0llocks speculations start.  :D  :D

Anyway, credit to him. He showed some respect by not celebrating.

One of our biggest in the top flight. Interestingly Chelsea and the mancs both scored 68 and conceded 24 yet finished SEVEN points apart.

Good finish to the season, should have kept a clean sheet but for our CBs not working out one of Keane's favourite ways of getting goals (hanging on the last defender with acres of space to run into)

Excellent cross from Kuyt, he really is coming on strong, and a good goal that seems to have been given as an own goal. Shame for Reina he didn't keep the clean sheet, but for that Keane goal I gather he could have drawn level with VDS for the golden glove. Touching moment Kuyt coming on, shame he couldn't have started and as captain, you can get a standing ovation for coming off as well as coming on.

I think we should sue Stoke and the ref who disallowed our goal against them for robbing us of the title. Only WBA (0 points), Hull, Wigan and villa (1 point each) took less points off Stoke. We took six points off Chelsea and Man Utd, throw that away by taking four less off Stoke than they did.

Just think, but for that point Hull picked up at Anfield they would be down and Newcastle wouldn't, maybe the barcodes should sue Rafa for that!

As I'm sure most people on here know, Torres scored his 50th Liverpool goal (84th appearance) and Liverpool their 500th and 501st under Rafa yesterday

Funny......

I wonder how many more goals he would have scored for us if he was actually left on the pitch for a full game.
