Liverpool vs kaiserslautern - Televised coverage

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby red37 » Thu Jul 27, 2006 12:08 pm

Liverpool's pre-season friendly against Kaiserslautern on Saturday will be shown live on satellite.

Eurosport will be showing the game live but not on British Eurosport as previously advertised by their website.

Nearly all versions of Eurosport will show the game live, although we believe France Eurosport will also not have coverage i.e. no coverage on British Eurosport or France Eurosport.

Supporters with a motorised satellite system should use the following settings to receive the match live (unencrypted i.e. free-to-air):

Sat: Astra 19.2 east
Channel: German Eurosport
Freq: 12.226 H 27500 3/4
Dish: 80cm North UK, 60cm South UK

:(  no british eurosport    why?

what's the picture quality like on .tv? i was thinking of getting a e-season ticket but didn't want to if it was going to be all stop-starty like it is on the other foreign web-software available (PPLIVE etc).

Do they have live commentary on the games as well?

Its not that bad to be honest. But the fact that people are paying for it makes me think it should be a lot better. The club need to use more bandwidth, as it is they shut down the site to preserve bandwidth for the .tv coverage.

Until an official tv chnnel is launched they should improve the quality.

Its around 6 out of 10 id say. Id say 7 but after you strctch past 2/3rds of the screen it just looks poor.

e-season coverage in my opinion. ive had it 11 months. watched 4 live games and all the clips of interviews/retro etc..

im on fast broadband and i can only say this concerning recent games.

v wrexham 0% coverage due to technical fault.

v crewe 100% coverage. and 8 out of 10 for quality.

make up your own minds. at best its ok. for the most part its unreliable. quite often its plain sh1t. the idea is not carried out very well for me, it could have been... though the shout for a tv channel is a very pertinant one, for the time being this is all we have, so.......make the best of it folks.

Thanks for the info guys, i've been toying with the idea of getting Sky but with getting married in December an e-season ticket helps save a bit of cash- which is sorely needed the way my missus is spending!!

Hmm- decisions, decisions!!

I'm well gutted.  I read somewhere that the match was going to be on C5.  I already started to plan my day to be back home for the match.  :(
