If he didn't tackle back we'd slate his work ethic, what those weak ball winners need to do is simply get goalside of the attacker and slow the move down to get bodies behind the ball - or do to them what so often they do to us

I'm not really sure you can blame Benayoun too much to be honest. He ends up one on one with the young kid (it happened twice) and given the fact we had three central midfielders on at the time (two of which are holders) you have to ask where were they? You could also ask where was Carragher, but whatever i can't see a sensible scenario whereby allowing Benayoun to get isolated is a good idea.

Lynds you've got your finger on the pulse mate. You're 1 up, you're looking to close the game out. You take off a striker and bring on a defensive midfielder. Why Lucas and not Masherano? Strange one that.

I duno mate, Rafas subs latelty have been cr@p, atleast when Babel was coming on as a supersub last season he was scoring and winning us some games.

I duno what Rafa sees in Lucas, Kevin Nolan would do a better job.

Yep.

I've had enough of those players who have a decent run of a few games, then play rubbish the next ten.

How much could we get from those? 15-20 million? I'd offload them and buy one proper right sided player who performs week in; week out.

And If that player is injured, theres always Babel, El Zahr and Gerrard who can fill in on the right.

To be fair to Rafa, Masch has not been playing well for a while Mick. Not sure if its injury or he is not fully focused, but he just doesn't look at his best. Maybe he is suffering like Keane from being in and out of the side?
