GH is desperately trying to hold on to his job. He has built a squad of mediocre, but loyal subjects. These players will stand by his side. Lokk at recent media stories where Murphy and Carragher pledges their loyalty to Houllier. They say "the criticism has made us stronger". I'm not convinced at all. These players are so poor that they should never have played for a top team like Liverpool. They are only too happy to stay here, and no decent manager would allow such cr#p to enter anfield with a red jersey. These guys do not even possess the most basic skills. First touch, pace, strenght, control. As for Houllier, he will never retire. The board must force him out, the sooner the better. I think he has one year left of his contract, which means he will be walking out the gates with a lucurative golden parachute.

The new manager will inherit a poor squad. But with Liverpools financial strenght he will be able to turn things around in maybe 3-4 years time. It is however a massive job.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.

Just got in from game, we were poor to-night, we didnt look interested in the first half, dont know what gh told them but we looked to negativein the first 5mins, second half never really got going, we got a "lucky break" with for our goal we were lucky to come away with a draw in the end!. the kop were quite most of the night apart from me ?...We will have our work cut out in the second leg, they looked quite dangerous at times and with a passionate crowd behind them(something we never had to-night) they will be up for it and must fancy their chances. there was no fight in our players, we didnt seem to want it badly enough?..no fighting spirit.. It must be the gh influence?..     :D

Behind every good team, there has to be good management even the team players are rubbish. LFC has a good starting lineup but........the management and tactics are s##t.
