Liverpool will wear their home kit for the Champions League final in Istanbul on 25th May.

As the first name on the fixture Milan have the option of wearing their black and red home kit, but have instead opted for their 'lucky' white kit which they wore in 2003 when they beat Juventus in the final at Old Trafford.

So, those fans who detest Liverpool's yellow and black away kit will breath a sigh of relief!

Also, if im not mistaken, the 4 times we won it playing red, didnt the team we beat always wear white?

I must admit I was worried about this, I didn't want to wear that yellow kit (even though I'm wearing the shirt as I type this) glad it's all sorted now.

I'm going to book two days off I think. On the day of the final, I will be no good in work that day, I wont be doing a thing. So I wont be going in.

Believe it or not, I am going to hang around the ground, I feel that just being around the ground as like a kind of 'shrine' will somehow help. I'm going to get smashed as well of course, but I hope I don't get mistaken for one of those funny plonky fellas that hang around the streets of Anfield.

We always win it when wearing Red.

Even if it would have gone Milans way and they wore the red and black stripes, I would have loved it if the club would have commissioned an all-white kit like the way we did when playing Barcelona in 2001.

Rather that than the current yellow one.
