Let him go so! - Sad

The man i speak of is Cisse.
Don't get me wrong he is my fav player at liverpool but i think it's a shame that we don't use him.
We can't score so what do we do? we leave a 14 million striker on the bench who lets be fair has never been given a real chance by Benitez! He would have sold him in a second during the summer if he had got a half decent offer.
So he might aswell let him go in jan because i don't think Rafa wants him! And it's not fair on Cisse.
And that really bugs me!!

I hear what your saying lad and you have to feel for Cisse. Asked to play out of position after battling back from a career threatening injury and being the first player to be sacrificed week in week out isn't exactly doing the player any favours in the confidence area ???

Cisse joins a growing list of players asked to play out of position for the cause but how long do we support that cause when we draw too many games, fail to create and leak goals ???

£14 million pounds and playing right wing :O

His whole thing is pace. The only way he will play well is if you built the team (tactically) around him to utilize his speed. It will require the team to sit very deep, have Cisse on the halfway line, and then sending balls over the top so he can run behind the defenders. He is not good enough for that, and that is not the way Raffa plays.

Bottom line I am sick of hearing people whine about Cisse playing out of position. He cost 14 million, therfore he should be good enough to adapt (after all we are not taking a striker and asking him to be a goalkeeper, he is still being asked to be an attacking player, difference is he is required to track back a bit, and he does not seem to like doing it).

Suck it up Cisse, it is not like you are not getting play time. KEEP SCORING GOALS, AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF IN THE TEAM!!

if i was Cisse i would leave as soon as i could, what i think is bad that a few years ago RB said that Cisse was a great player, but know he has him he dont play him...why.. well RB did not buy him and RB dont like that.

Darren Bent is twice the player Cisse will ever be.

I don't rate him and when I think back to how some people here made him out to be great before he joined I'm really disappointed.

However, if we are going to play him at least play him where he is supposed to. Play for 8 games centre forward to his strenghts. if he doesn't perform then sell him.

Same goes for Morientes (seems lazy to me).

Hold onto Crouch, and see how he plays with another forward who can score goals.

And Cisse isn't good enough and needs to be sold. Waste of space.

As is Traore.

I am not a big fan of Cisse, I have never seen him play for anyone but LFC.  But surely the guy must be ok for us to spend £14 mill on him (although saying that we paid £11 mill for El Hadj)

I agree with other posters above, we at least owe him a chance to prove himself.  He must have a run in the team playing up front and not wide right.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

While i dont like his attitude, i also feel fro him, having to play out wide, is not as easy as some may think, when you have never done it. Let him play up front with Crouch or Morientes, give him a chance, i think this is why Rafa didnt want to buy owen, cos owen likes to be a similar role as Cisse and rafa just dont want that tactic! he wants hold up lay and develoip other players, ok if you have the players but we dont and we need to find form fast!

why cant he NOT score and still play like erm oooh i dont know ....CROUCH !!!! ???

just how many goals warrants a place in the team

cisse scored 2 against CSKA MOSCOW , then started the next game against SPURS ( finished 0-0 by the way ) and was then once again back on the bench, have a guess who took his place for the following games  REAL BETIS , MAN U and BIRMINGHAM ?

it doesnt matter how many goals he scores, for some reason or another rafa doesnt like or rate him simple as that, if your face or your accent doesnt fit your out. good luck with your new club in january CISSE under another manager you could of become one of the liverpool legends :(

with cisses pace he should be able to play out wide with no problem at all and he probably could if he could get that chip off his shoulder

A couple of things to contemplate about Cisse and his performances so far;

1. He is an out and out striker not a winger (said many times by many posts on this forum)

2. Since joining the club he has never had a run in the team (injury last year and selection this)

3. Strikers feed on confidence and at the moment he is low in that department, However he's still managed to score 5 times this season so far !!! (how many will he get when he's confident ??)

4. Historically in the PREM foreign players take longer to settle, look at HENRY at the , not great at all in his 1st season, low on morale coming from JUVE (played as a winger by the way for them!!). Wenger converts him to his favourite position and the rest is History as they say.

5. He is young and has bags of ability (granted -not seen it all yet), under Rafa's guidance will see the best of him sooner rather than later.

6. Helping the team fill a position that is under strength at the moment until January.  have you ever heard the expression " putting a round peg in a square hole ??"

7. French international alongside great players such as Henry, Trezeguet et al.  French manager was quoted as saying " that Cisse was big miss last year, due to his injury"

So basically, the time to judge is when he's playing in the position in which he was bought for on a regular basis.  Have faith that he'll do the business as 5 goals so far isn't a bad return for someone who has No confidence, played only a few games and most of them out of position on the wing !!
