united were shown up last night for exactly what they are. overrated, especially at the highest level.

they can get away with it in the premier league because the majority of teams can't defend for toffee. as soon as they play anyone decent in europe they're comprehensively outplayed.

i don't think they're that far aheads of us in terms of ability. i just think it's a case of the attitude that they have being better than ours, especially away from home.

That is why it is so hard to take this season, as MU have IMHO the most ordinary team I have seen, except for Ronaldo and perhaps Rooney, to potentially win the title. They made a good start to the season, stayed clear of injuries during that crucial period and then just kept themselves going with a lot of luck and huge doses of confidence.

So while I concede MU's performances in the league were way better than ours, in no way do I concede their TEAM is better than ours.

better team doesnot mean the winning team. so it doesn't matter who says who is better. Result counts.
And i think they are better :D

Ancelotti seems to be falling into a similar trap as Maureenho. Hopefully it'll have the same result. :p

Ancelotti's words are perfect for us! Let him keep thinking this way. We are best underestimated.

Another thing why Ancelotti is so wrong is that United have gotten to the final only once in over 20 years under Fergie. Rafa has seen two finals in three seasons, so to say United are a better team in this competition is somewhat folly on his behalf. It is also a lack of respect.

On a sidenote - Gar Bar (Ronaldo) being touted as the best player in the world? Please!!! He was :censored: poor from the get-go. His balls dropped off, as did most of United's overarrated squad of superstars (Darren Fletcher v Kaka WTF!!). Brought back down the Earth with a bang, they were!

Their performances in Europe this season have been poor... if they'd faced a better side earlier on (or had a tougher group) then they'd have got nowhere near the semis.

Losses vs Celtic, Copenhagen, Roma and Milan (where they were destroyed). Scraped past Celtic at home, Lille home and definitely away, and were lucky vs Milan at Old Trafford too. No complaints about the Roma 7-1, but as we seen last night, you've got to be able to defend decently in Europe.

WTF? We have less quality than Man.ure? That I have to disagree. Perhaps their top players like Ronaldo and Rooney (the way they are playing currently) are slightly above any of our own top players, but no way the rest of the team is better than ours!

Let's go down the team:

Goalie: Reina is on par, if not better than Van Der Sar. And Reina is only 23 I think? He will definitely get better with age. And no one is better than Pepe when it comes to penalty stops!

Defence: Carra-Agger definitely much better than Ferdinand-Vidic. Our c-halfs are more clinical and don't lose focus as much as MU's clowns. And in Agger, we have a defender who looks just as comfortable taking the ball into midfield as Ferdinand. Finnan? Better than whoever they have playing in RB nowadays. Riise/Aurelio. Better in an attacking sense than Heintze, but defensive wise probably not

Midfield: Gerrard-Alonso-Sissoko-Mascherano, 'nuff said. But flair-wise, still needs a lot of work to take on Ronaldo-Giggs. Pennant is finally showing promise though.

Attack: Maybe our weakest link. Kuyt-Crouch-Bellamy-Fowler have got their own individual strengths, but none of them are the complete deal yet. Still with exception of God, the rest are still relatively young, and will hopefully improve over time. Shrek is the only one worth mentioning here. Rest of MU's strikers are worse than our lot.

Terrible post If I'm honest.

cup competitions level teams out. In terms of passion we are up there with the best of them.
Over a whole season though we have to work things out mentally to be considered just as good, the players are there....except for one or two. ancelotti was probably commenting after looking at the premiership table.

LFC is getting as mean as stu lately.

if milan think we are so poo, why are they all kekking it and trying mind games already?

I think they see that we are just gonna enjoy this one after winning it recently. And by more physical he means we are better prepared and have more fight, more passion.

As for ability, we'll let liverpool do the talking on the match

Over the seaon Utd have been better than us and we cant deny that.  They finished higher than us last season as well.  The league table doesnt lie and there goals scored record shows that they must be creating a lot more chances in games than we do.

Ancoletti's comments are not that bad.  No different to someone saying to him Inter Milan are a far better side than AC Milan. (The table doesnt lie!!)

Mate you couldn't even remember who the right back was for Man Utd?

He's one the most (if not the most) hated players in Liverpool but also happens to be the best right back in the country even if he is a kunt. Know who he is yet?

Need I go on as to why it was terrible?
