Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

JM may have his hands on his first piece of silverware as manager of Chelsea but he will have lost a bunch more of his fast dwindling band of friends.

Mourinho blew in English football as a breath of fresh air; Opinionated, witty and sucessful.

Now, his uncontrollable arrogance and his seeming inability to lose or win with grace, wafts over Chelsea like an unpleasent smog.

JM said in the build up to the match he would rather win trophies than popularity contest. Hey, Jpse, guess what? That's no reason to behave like a belligerent adolescent.

His exit from the Millennium Stadium arena was ignominious, sent from the bench in shame from taunting Liverpool fans. He already has one warning for berating Luis Garcia and exchanging x-rated words with Carragher. It was an unedifying spectacle, especially coming from someone who was schooled by so restrained a figure as Sir Bobby Robson, and someone who was with widespread goodwill when he arrived at Chelsea.

You can buy the best players in the world but you cannot buy the general's affection and JM antics left Chelsea severely out of pockets on that score.

Alas the match was won by Chelsea and its players danced like wild dervishes at the final whistle. But thank goodness, we were spared the sight of Mourinho celebrating.
