I mean

Raul was a great player ... but isnt anymore.

Morientes was a good player ... and maybe he still has a bit left in him .. just needs to find the pace and stamina and touch.

Cisse is a good player and IMO can be a force to rekon with in the prem next season

Raul has been hampered the last few seasons with Serie-A flop Ronaldo coming to Madrid. With his mentor not playing, his deadly strike-partnership with Mori stuffed up royally. For the next 5 years or so, with Mori playing 2-3 years, Raul playing 3-5 years and Cisse learning from the best and deadliest combination in Europe, LFC will be winning title after title, and not just challenging for it. These players are synomonous with success. But they need each other because they've played so many years feeding off each other, they know each other's game. LFC will be the winner, make no mistake. Anyone who doesnt think so, doesnt have much faith or spirit.

Ronaldo a flop?

He's only 80% of what he was and he's still absoloutely 100% world class. He's one of the top three strikers in the world and easily the best forward over the last 10 years. How the hell can he be a flop?

Some people on here need to engage there brain before they speak. You're one of them. :no

...Carragher to Gerrard...........Gerrard skips past one then another, threads a wonder ball through to Raul............Raul takes it past one defender, then another, then a lovely 1-2 with Morientes,  RAUL ONLY HAS THE KEEPER TO BEAT.....................GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLL!
Raul completes his hat-trick and sends Liverpool into a 4-0 first half lead against a sorry looking Manchester United squad.

:D  aghhhhh, happy days to come.

Did you read what I wrote firstly? I said he was a Serie A flop, he WAS world class, yet he wasted away in Inter Milan, and EVERYONE know that. He flopped for 3 years. He was injured, but he had time to make up for it, to me and everyone who follows football around the world, he is a flop. So before you try and get into a verbal stoush, READ! And as far as saying

Why do you think it aint gonna happen?? same reasons we think it might! NOBODY KNOWS, IT'S ALL SPECULATION. So until we're proved wrong we're gonna look forward to seeing Raul in a red shirt next season.

I thank you.

From SkySports:

Raul has rejected reports that he could leave Real Madrid for Liverpool this summer.

Reports over the weekend suggested that Raul could become the latest Spanish star to make his way to Anfield to join Rafa Benitez's European champions.

It was suggested that Benitez wanted to team Raul up again with former Real team-mate Fernando Morientes in a new look attack for next season.

Raul endured a disappointing season with Real last term by his own high standards and rumours of a moves for new strikers such as Robinho and Adriano have raised doubts over Raul's long-term future at El Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish international has previously claimed he would quit Real if the club made it clear he was surplus to requirements.

However, Raul has moved to quash the speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool suggesting it would be complicated for him to move on.

“I’m not thinking about playing in England," said Raul.

"My future is in the Spanish league. It would be very complicated for me to go there.”

So I doubt he will be coming to Anfield............. I thank you :p

He scored goals when he was fit and he IS WORLD CLASS STILL.

To suggest anything other than that is plain stupidity. The mans a great footballer, always has been, always will be.

You are either 10 years old, suffer from amnesia or just plain stupid.

Ronaldo, alongside Del Perio was the best striker in the world in his first two seasons at Inter Milan, even though he missed much of the second season through injury.

At that time no one in the world would have disputed that he was the best player in the world. To say he was a flop in Seria A is just plain wrong.

It is true he suffered badly though injuries for the next two seasons and barley played, but to call him a Seria A flop is silly.
