Pessotto coz he's getting too old to handle 90 min of high level soccer and Nedved coz since he's back, he hardly plays correctly, though he still runs a lot more than anyone in Serie A.
However, both of them can play a great game if the spirit is right.

i was just thinking.... ingnore my earlier post, i think we need garcia behind milan because then he`l be harder to pick up for juve, and he tends to come inside any way, and we dont need out right midfielder caught inside, play nunez. Juventino, you seem to be a true juve fan, not a ultra pig so i will talk to you. nedved - ottimo, where will he play, left or behind zlatan and del piero?

Offensive midfielder left, to balance with Camoranesi who has the same role on the right.
Lippi tried to play with Nedved behind the attackers a few years ago, but it has been a failure: we conceeded a enormous amount of goal and scored just a bit more, with Di Vaio, Miccoli, Del Piero and Trezeguet. I don't think he'll play in that position anymore, as we wouldn't have anyone to give a hand to Zambrotta.

Possible line up:

                          Carson

Finnan      Carragher          Hyppia        Troare

             Alonso             Biscan

Garcia            Le Tallec             Riise

                 Baros

There's a small chance if Alonso cannot be risked from the start Warnock will come in and play left back with Troare moving to centre half and Carragher being pushed into midfield, although I think Alonso will start.

I think Xabi is potentially a great player but I'm not sure whether he has 90 minutes in him just now.

They won't cause violent trouble, but don't expect them to be friendly either. The security will be at the highest level ever in a Juventus game, so those who will try to assault won't be given a chance I think. One again, I won't be there, but that's what I've heard.

quote of the weekend came from brian reade, a well known liverpool fan, in the daily mirror.

"The incentive to get past Juve could not be greater - a semi-final against Chelsea, second leg at Anfield. A chance to give a "shush" sign back to Jose Mourinho and convince England's awesome midfield general that there is only one option open to him to further his career. Leave his home city and move to a team of genuine winners with genuine pedigree. And who knows, Frank Lampard might just think about it."

It's a known fact that we win more games without Gerrard, we'll miss him however we will survive as we have done so in the past therefore I am not concerned.

I'm sure Alonso will start but like it has been said by others here he may not play the whole game, and I can see Alonso getting taken off after we nick a goal or two.

We got nothing to lose really and everything to gain. The players should be up for it, well I hope they are.

if we get through this it will be our biggest win in europe in terms of beating the odds in my opinion. games like st ettiene, bayern munich, roma 84 etc were superb but we had side`s in those days that were as good if not better than anything else around.
due to injuries the team that we will put out on wednesday will not be anywhere near the quality of the juve eleven and taking into account the emotional baggage this game brings with it and how fired up the juve players and crowd will be i think this would be in terms of beating the odds our biggest win in europe.

stop winding everyone up you scally.

and if you are real juve, feck off bac to your own teams site, instead of winding people up
