Gerrard - "special players are coming in january"

Yesterdays Independent ran an interview with Stevie G about his relationship with Rafa & his place among Liverpool legends. It was a short peice but most interesting was Gerrards claim that Benitez is signing "special players" in the transfer window. I hope he means world class & not in wheelchairs when he said "special" but it seems quite positive that Gerrard looking forward to the new recruits joining very soon. I just want to surprised by the names we do sign & not bored as there the players we've been linked with all season. YNWA

Bit it is on the Liverpool Echo site.

Intresting, Stevie is not renowned for his tact, and often gives a lot away in interviews.

Exciting times the transfer windows, just that we often get left short.....

But Gerrard DID say it. I saw it in an interview on TV.
