too right. give it to john terry and let stevie focus on his role
and his 'brasso' stockpile!

As far as other reds/ex-reds to be International captains, Paul Ince is one who hasn't been mentioned - he's done it for England a number of times while he played for us. I'm sure Gary Mac captained Scotland a few times also, although not when he was with us. Staunton has definitely captained Ireland too. Surely Rush also captained Wales towards the end of his career also?

ConnO'var wrote:- Crazy Horse has done it 23 times.
- Keegan's done it 31 times
- Thommo's done 6
- Ince's got 7 (but personally I never really considered him a true red as the Mancs had him 1st)
- Owen's got 8
- Clemence, Beardsley, Neal, Stevie and couple of blokes from the 20s (Ephraim Longworth and Thomas Lucas) - once
I find it a interesting that the greatest club in English history has only ever produced so few English skippers....
