We are on for one of our worst Premiership seasons in terms of away results

Worst Premiership away seasons (points/game - season - away record)

0.76 (92/93) : P21 W3 D7 L11 F21 A37 PTS 16
0.95 (93/94) : P21 W5 D5 L11 F26 A32 PTS 20
0.95 (04/05) : P19 W5 D3 L11 F21 A26 PTS 18
1.00 (98/99) : P19 W5 D4 L10 F24 A25 PTS 19
1.00 (09/10) : P16 W4 D4 L8 F13 A19 PTS 19
1.16 (06/07) : P19 W6 D4 L9 F18 A20 PTS 22
1.26 (97/98) : P19 W5 D9 L5 F26 A26 PTS 24

Are we just too negative away from home? Is that why we can't score? Unless we hit a hatful in the remaining games at Birmingham (not that likely), Burnley and Hull (both relegation strugglers) then we could end up with fewest away goals in a Premiership season

It's not as if all our bad results are against good sides, nor is it as if we've been freescoring in Europe or the cups - only once have we scored more than one goal away from home in the cups (W3-1 vs Unirea Urziceni)

I don't know which is worse, our list of away wins or away defeats in terms of embarrassing.

AWAY WINS (7)

Leeds Utd (W1-0) - Carling Cup
Debrecen (W1-0) - Champions League
Unirea Urziceni (W3-1) - Europa League
Bolton (W3-2) - Premiership 15th
West Ham (W3-2) - Premiership 17th
Everton (W2-0) - Premiership 8th
A Villa (W1-0) - Premiership 7th

AWAY DEFEATS (12)

Arsenal (L1-2) - Carling Cup
Fiorentina (L0-2) - Champions League
Benfica (L1-2) - Europa League
Lille (L0-1) - Europa League
Portsmouth (L0-2) - Premiership 20th
Wigan (L0-1) - Premiership 16th
Sunderland (L0-1) - Premiership 13th
Fulham (L1-3) - Premiership 12th
Tottenham (L1-2) - Premiership 5th
Arsenal (L0-1) - Premiership 3rd
Man Utd (L1-2) - Premiership 2nd
Chelsea (L0-2) - Premiership 1st

Also away draws at midtable Stoke, Blackburn and Wolves are hardly impressive, three of our four away draws in the Premiership including those three have seen us score just ONCE. But for the silly defeats (Portsmouth, Wigan and Sunderland), and silly draws (Wolves, Stoke and Blackburn) we'd be sat pretty in fourth and not be clinging on to an outside hope of CL football next season. The saddest fact in those six games in which we mustered a pitiful three points out of 18 is that we dropped 13 of those points dropped WITHOUT SCORING - P6 W0 D3 L3 F1 A5 PTS 3/18

When is Rafa going to wake up and realise we might lose games on our travels, but if we don't score then we WILL drop points. We haven't won away from home in the league since late December, we've managed to lose to the only side in the bottom four we've played and we didn't even score. Most of the sides we have beaten away from home this season we either rubbish or are generally inconsistent - even the away win at villa park was late brilliance from Torres to snatch it. Leeds away was far from convincing, with West Ham and Bolton you just take any win, but only beating Debrecen 1-0 home and away summed up our CL campaign as the rest of the group scored freely against the Hungarians.

While our away form has been dreadful, our home form has been good this season with only five home defeats, two of those poor defeats against Lyon and Fiorentina and one of the most embarrassing defeats against medicore side Reading of the Championship in the FA Cup

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
