If we happen to offload Cisse, there is only one club with a manager who I think will pay 14m for him...

^^^disagree tbh...half them are glory hunting c.unts, and all the wools and cockneys have killed the anfield atmosphere to a certain degree, its still a belter on certain occasions like the chelski, juve games etc but in some prem games like sunderland its non exsistent, just look at the away games, loads of scousers go to them and sing their hearts out all game

Can't remember too many non-scousers in the 60s but something happened in Rome in the 70s and all of a sudden there were millions of them and the main stand would be full of daytrippers from Timbuktu or Thailand or Hong Kong and they NEVER seemed to have trouble getting tickets.
By the way, the Welsh count as Scousers me dad was one and he followed the team from the 20s, home and away.

Stu, what the f*ck has being scouse got to do with supporting Liverpool you f*cking a*s?

I hate statement's like that, it's as if people have this out look that you must be from the area to support LFC. If this where the case there wouldn't be much support at all, probably a few hundred thousand people ( remember there's a couple of team's in Liverpool ). Do you think a few hundred thousand fan's will keep Liverpool running? F*cking sure it won't.

We are ALL Liverpool fan's, what matter's is we all have one thing in common and that's supporting Liverpool, so don't bring that racist BS into it, for that's what it is at the end of the day.

If Djibril Cisse is sold he will go back to France or possibly Spain or Italy not to Holland

Djibril Cisse doesn’t seem to be in Rafa's long term plans, if a good offer comes in then he will be sold, and I fully support this stance as I am not a big fan and think we can get better.

In terms of numbers we are alright in terms of strikers, we have Cisse, Crouch and Morientes as our 3 senior strikers, we have Pongolle as out younger option, plus we have Garcia, Gerrard and Kewell who are all capable of playing off the main striker, and Mellor is still around, though he is likely to leave without us needing a replacement.

So it is a case of either working with and improving the players we already have, or selling 1 or 2 and bringing in 1 or 2. In my opinion, despite his undoubted class, and the fact that there is definitely more to come from him, Morientes will never be able to lead the line for us, he simple isn’t made to play in this league. Cisse isn’t suited to playing as a lone striker, and even as part of a striking combination he will never be that good. I believe that Rafa never bought Crouch as the man to lead the line for us and be the main striker, he was simply bought as one of our strikers, someone who Rafa would like to have available.

So that leaves us without a real striker to lead the line. Rafa will need to look for someone quiet dynamic, someone who is at least competent in every department. Ruud Van Nistelrooy is what you would call a modern day Premiership centre forward. He is an excellent finisher, is aggressive, has aerial ability, can hold the ball up, is aware of what is around him, can pass and has decent pace. This is the sort of striker Rafa needs.

I personally have not seen Dirk Kuyt play. He has an excellent goal scoring record, is a regular for both his club and Holland. By the sounds of it he seems like that modern day Premiership centre forward I have talked about. Rafa has already admitted that he likes Kuyt. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rafa is looking into selling Cisse and bringing in Kuyt, and it sounds like a good move to me.

But I have read that Kuyt is not interested in moving before the World Cup, as he is worried about rocking the boat and losing his place in the Holland team. If we could guarantee him first team football (we probably could), then we may be in with a good chance in January, but any transfer would be dependent on us finding a buyer for Cisse.

KOP-1892

Listen mate, am not being funny, but someone questioning my loyalty to my team and insulting me like that is not something i do or ever will take kindly to. Especially when its someone who doesn't support there local team. For me mate, supporting football teams about local pride. Scousers v the Mancs and :censored: like that. Thats one of the reasons i support Liverpool. In this city, you're either born a red or a blue depending on groups of mates etc. Sure you get the odd knobhead who supports someone else but you generally support the team the people who yuo grow up around support.

Alot of people, i'm not specifically naming names, from outside the city are just gloryhunters. Oh they win stuff i'll support them, oh i like there kit i'll support them, wow is he a great player, i'll support them. I'm sorry but if you're from Liverpool it doesn't work that, you're just led into it, you don't make a concious decision.

As i said, i've spend thousands and thousands over the years watching them all over europe, all over the country and at anfield. Probably in the region of about 15,000-20,000 grand. I'm 22, thats a deposit on a house, my life in order and a decent car. Instead, i've put LFC first. Its only been these last three years i've only made 20 games a season or so down to the fact i have to get my life sorted in the next few years.

Yet, people will tell me how they don't go because they can't afford it. They haven't got the time etc etc. For me they weren't valid excuses. If i had 60quid a week, i'd watch Liverpool rather than go on the ale with my mates. I still get to as many games as is possible now. Infact i'm lying, i'm not as good a supporter anymore as i occassionally miss games now, i could probably get to another 10 games or so a season but occassionally i can't be arsed.

For people to question my loyalty though, is damn right ignorant and insulting, especially when they don't show the same level of following.
