ARSENAL VS LIVERPOOL - Keep your heads up!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

What's all this b*llocks?

Why is it that everytime LFC loses to anyone, we get inundated with morons?

Here are the facts, people:

Today was a poor match by our standards, but it needed an uncharacteristic back-pass from Gerrard, and a pathetically unjust red-card for Xabi for Arsenal to beat us 2-1.

Yes they dominated, but that's ALWAYS the case at Highbury, and when Henry is on-form, there are few defences who can cope.
Fabregas played one good pass which would have been cut-out by Carragher had he not slipped, and had a solid game. I just cannot see it when everyone says he was superb.

Our players were slipping from the first minute, and yet not a single Arsenal player did. This to me suggests some dirty back-room tactics, probably involving specialised studs in the Goons' boots, and an extra sprinkling of water on the pitch.

Crouch is totally out of form, Garcia is a liability at the minute, and JC looks like he's having problems.

In short, I reckon the season is catching up on us, and we HAVE to turn to some of the fringe-players and the young reserves.

At least Rafa now knows exactly what is wrong, and with a suitable budget, he'll rectify it.

Its like that :censored: from cfc said (goals goals goals).
without um we are not going any where it makes me mad watching us dominate near every game we play and losse becouse we cant score. (apart from todays game at highbury) we was very sloppy today .
the reff was not even looking at our man slip how can he send him of if he did not see the hole thing .
i felt sorry for gerrard silly mistake but he works hard for us i bet he cant w8 till the end of the season to get some well earned rest .respect to you gerrard m8 .
it woud be nice to get the 2nd place so we get less games to play next season.

At last sense...

today wasn't good apart from a spell in the 2nd half arsenal had the run of the place.

lets watch next season when we are taking chances what some of these nearly game will end up.

even today when we were at a low ebb we still should have taken a point and had the chances we had go in the doom mongs would be ranting about how 2nd is ours defoe, instead dicks like welsh wizard are in stirring up trouble.

things from today.

crouch is not van horse head at holding the ball up

garcia was the player we all know, frustrating but possess the quality to score

sami made henry look faster than he already is

henry is ace

if you give arsenal time on the ball they will thread passes all over the place and the above comes into play

when we lose this place fills up with knobs

Disappointed, but it was just one of those freak occurances and a rare mistake that cost us a point.

It's no disaster and we'll be up for the next game for sure.

I agree.  I said the same thing about the reds slipping about the pitch and found it strange how none of the goons were.

Also agree about Garcia, but I've been sayin that in the last few weeks on this forum, but always replies disagreeing with me and saying he is good for the team...he must have a lotta family.

His first touch is :censored:, his passin is hit and miss and he tries to showboat too much when he hasn't really got the skill.  If he could concentrate on playing proper football he could probably come good. :kungfu:

I run the risk of a lotta slagging off but...I like Gerrard, I think his passion is a great inspiration to the team, and he does give 110% every game, but maybe that's part of the problem.

Stats show that we have a better success rate in games played without Gerrard, than when he plays. FACT!!!!
Also he tries so many long range shots that don't end up in the back of the net maybe if he was to pass them to a player closer to goal we might get more goals. Gerrard's shots OFF TARGET total more than those of Cisse and Crouch together.

No we arent. Go check the stats, and goal to games ratios.

if we carry on playing like that we wont even finish 4th.

If we didnt finish 4th for some reason, who is gonna take the flak?

Drummerphil, dont blame me for LFc's woeful performance, i wasnt even playing, so its not my fault!

Crouch was terrible today.  He looked totally lost, and his touch was dreadful.  We had 10 men before Alonso went off!!

At 1-0 I thought we were going to lose 3-0, as every Arsenal attack looked like a goal...but at 1-1 we were the ones going to win it, and how the ref can send off alonso for something he was looking in the opposite direction to I have no idea.

A point would have been respectable away at Arsenal but fate went against us.

This does not hide the fact that we are woeful up front with our chances today coming from the usual sources of gerrard and garcia.

Roll on summer and the arrival of someone who can kick the ball into the net.

Anyone know of a team who want a 6ft 7" striker?

Garcia just came back from a knee injury, he needs time to get his form back, you have to remember that!

He scored a goal today because he can score alot of goals and that is why we really need him in the team right now. Until he is a 100% fit and consistant again he would be excellent

Thoughts on today......Garcia should only play as a sub knee injury or no knee injury, he loses the ball and messes up attacks far too much, he's good in small doses, like litmanen was.  he does produce goods when we need them tho.

Gerrard didn't deserve what happened to him today, dont know why he was passing back in the first place but only he knows. Alonso had an ok game....shouldn't have been sent off obviously, Crouch was terrible, obviously.
Cisse still not allowed to play as a striker? ok then...

they too tired....saw that today, and do we encourage teams to come onto good form when we play them or summin? especially goalkeepers and defenceses...No way can you say Arsenal are better than us....especially this season...
We are better then we were last year, dont give a fucc about stats....our strikers are only lackin this year....rest of the team has stepped up.
