Klopp: 'If I knew Alisson was this good – I would have paid double."

Haha...so we stole Salah from Roma and we absolutely just robbed them for Alisson  :hearts

What a player !! Command, temperament, agility, positioning and leadership !! He’s got it all and his price is beginning to look cheap.

When he made that save you can tell how much it meant to the lads the importance was crazy.

Allison is gradually becoming Epl top keeper.

For years and years I have wanted us to have a game saving goalie and we finally have him, truly world class. Well worth whatever we paid for him, his consistency is what will win us trophies. I truly believe we are now a complete team. If we can keep him and VVD together, we could dominate for years. I actually think he has the tools to be our best ever keeper, better than RC, BG and Reina. This kid is the business.  Very happy to be a Liverpool supporter right now!

Stats show that Alisson has made as many mistakes that led to a goal as Karius in the whole of last season, stats don’t show however how confident the team looks at crosses and with the ball at the keeper’s feet, or that he has pulled off as many game changing saves as both Karius and Mignolet did in their Liverpool career.

Happily the team bailed him out.

Alisson Becker speaking to the Brazilian media after Hammerz game

Alisson mostly blamed the psychological aspects of the team, saying they made some mistakes they normally don’t.

“I believe we had glimpses into the game. Some moments of insecurity,” Alisson told ESPN Brasil.

“We started well, we started the match well. We started ahead. From the moment we started to miss some passes, some silly passes that we are not used to missing, I think the team lost a little confidence in the match, I think the opposing team also gained confidence.”

It has to be said he is looking a bit shaky as well, he was dozy on the ball last week against Leicester and I didn't think he covered himself in glory with WH's equaliser last night, imo if he would have dived he would have got it, he just stood there like a statue and watched the ball go past him. He nearly gifted Carroll a goal at the end as well but VVD bailed him out of trouble.

Even if he couldn’t reach it I like to see keepers dive for everything close, Reina used to watch goals in a fair bit and it drove me nuts. The shot was perfectly placed but was not perfectly hit, he may have got it and was worth trying to stop in any way. It was quickness in reflexes that let him down so I see your point.
