Just wanted to say hi to all and to show my utter dis-appointment in what can only be described as another 'must win' game thrown away by playing 4-5-1 against A.Madrid.
Fulham, Brums, Portsmouth, Wigan etc etc - we play one up front against inferior opponents and never look like scoring nevermind winning.
2 things that don't win matches Rafa - zonal marking and 1 up front.
Last nights match was crying out for a positive change way before Pacheco was brought on, poor lad, only mins to go and he gets chucked on in a must win euro game??? At least give him 20+ mins to get into the game Rafa. Degen and El Zahr are not world beaters but being used the way Rafa uses 'em, just like Babel does nothing for your confidence, ask Aqualani.
I love Rafa but its time for a change, sooner the better, he's bought 20mill Aqualani and subs him coz he was looking tired, of course he's tired being sat on the bench the last 7 mths!!

no, we're all obviously over the moon with the way the season has gone. considering that zonal marking and 1 up front don't win matches we seem to have got 3 points out of a fair number of games over the last 5 years somehow or other.

3 points a fair few times as still failed to win us the league once again tho, yes?
1 up front against The Scum or Chelski is tactically right, against the inferior teams i've mentioned is tactically wrong, remember Rafa guaranteed 4 spot once the chance had gone to win the league but still he picked the formation and team that did not have goals in it and here we are NOT in the CL next season.
Zonal marking - we have conceded more set piece goals than any other top flight Prem team playing this way and if i'm right, more than a lot of the teams in the bottom half, i'm not saying it doesn't work, it worked a treat last season but opponents soon adapt to our weakness' here. If aint broke, don't fix it, if its not working, change it, yes???
