So many for me, the earliest being Zico and Mario Kempes. Then Bruni Conti, Alan Simonesn and Platini.
Never did like Rumminigge, always thought he looked awkward and hated his hair. :D

Romario. I remember watching that World Cup '94 with him and Babeto terrorizing every defence they came up against. And I loved him for single handedly stuffing Man Ure in their World Club Cup thing. Made Gary Neville look like his netball playing sister.

I always liked watching John Chidozee(SP) of Notts county , he was a cracking little player, but i loved watching 78 and 82 world cups they had some brilliant players in them playing brilliant football, can anyone remember the fella's name who played for Peru in the 78 world cup and had a shot and scored from a free kick i think , he took it with the outside of his foot and it had so much bend on it ,it was an unbelievable goal, can't remember the fella's name though.

I remember Peru's goalie aswell , he was a feckin nutter and kept coming out of his area , thought he was a centre back, well before that other nutjob from columbia. His nickname was EL loco and you could see why

That Van Basten clip is fantastic.

Used to buzz off watching Le Tissier myself.  And Beardsley when he was about 34 was still the best player in the country for me when Newcastle were blitzing everyone.

His name was Teofilo Cubillas brother, and I remember him well. Do you remember his toe poke free-kick against scotland?
I believe he quit shortly after that and played for New york cosmos or another american team.

Had a look for a vid of Romario and got this. Pure predatory perfection.
