Usain bolt - Can he be stopped?

After watching Usain Bolts phenomenal world record run of 9.58 seconds, i have to wonder is it even worth the other sprinters turning up?  :D i mean poor Tyson Gay ran his heart out and clocked 9.71 but was still miles behind! that must of been heartbreaking. The other competitors cant even compete with him, its ridiculous

I think Gay's time was actually a national record so he can be pleased with that as a consolation.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I would love to see him race some regular guy with a 30m head start

or maybe some animals?

would love to see him play football. Not that I think he would be good at it, but just to see how much faster he is, and whether he is just good at running a straight 100m or if in a free-er moving format he just ghosts people anyway

By the time he'd jogged to a halt he'd probably broken the 200m record aswell.

Brilliant sportsman , i don't think we will ever see anybody like him , before he retires he'd probably set his best time so that no one can ever beat it  , only 22 as well though plenty of time left .

He's a cocky bugger though. And a scummy manc too. He'll keep getting faster although I have a feeling he won't stick with the 100m for his entire career. After all, it must get boring beating the opposition so easily every single time!

I think that someone will beat his times eventually but it most likely won't be in his lifetime. All Britain needs is a quick, powerful 7 foot tall bloke and we're sorted :D

He's unstoppable - right now.

The guy is phenomenally equipped for this discipline and a great ambassador for Jamaica.

When you watch him, his start is great - comparable with most, but its around 20-40 metre mark where the sheer power kicks in and the fella just bombs on relentlessly. You can almost see the pistons engaged at maximum and from there on, its an awesome sight to behold. By the time he crosses the line, all the 'damage' has been done to his competitors before the halfway point. After about 70-80 metres on....he is simply cruising. I've yet to see him 'pushed' anywhere near close.

Great sportsman

The best thing about him is the fact he is having a laugh and enjoy himself and nothing like those arrogant american sprinters - the guy just goes out their to entertain and everyone loves him for it - great athelete .

i just saw it this afternoon on some replays. bolt in full flow is a sight to behold and i'm sure his apparent state of complete relaxation has a lot to do with his performances. and i love the way he can't resist the big goofy cheeky smile even when he is trying to pose it up for the cameras.

on a sadder note, the gorgeous yelena isinbayeva didn't win anything in the pole vault

:(

If Bolt didn't exist, both Gay's and Powell's records would be absolutely fantastic, as Carl Lewis dominated a lot of years the 100m with a worse record.

That only highlights how incredible is this 9.58 record.
