the 100m is one of the greatest records in sports because  humans have NEEDED to run fast for 100,000-250,000 years. sprinting is sport in its purest sense. line some people up a run as fast as you can to a set distance.  And in the whole history of the world, no human is even remotely close to as fast as he is.  I know its really hard to tell because for 99.99% of human history we haven't had electronic timing, and I am sure some humans have hit some high speeds pumped with adrenaline running from some CHeetahs. But I would still have a VERY tough time believing any of them clocked a 9.58 if we went back in time and hit them with a radar gun.  Hell, even thinking about that there are 6 billion people on the planet and 99.99999999% of them can run, and he is that much significantly faster than the 2nd best in the whole world. That is CRAZY.

I also love that he is actually a 200m runner, that just happens to be the best ever at 100m    And He isn't THAT good of a starter

i really cant see him being topped for a long, long time. The guy is just phenomal, he really has put athletics back on the map, which is some feat considering all the scandals and drug cheats that have really damaged the credibility of the sport.

anyway he supports the scum, he's a t0sser :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Unreal - that's less than 9.60 each 100 metres.

Did you see how quick he was out the blocks?
He'd overtaken the fella in the next lane in about 15 metres.

to be fair, that's not exactly the most flattering pic of her. watch her on the telly for a better idea.

still, looks like she could clamp on pretty hard if necessary
