The BDO keep losing their best players to the PDC, the comparitive standard over the years favours the PDC massively.

There are only a few players (IMO) in the BDO who could get into the top 15 of the PDC, possibly top 10 if they had a good spell.

Don't get me wrong, darts player do have skill but it's a pub game simple as that, oh and for butch lesbians

I used to think that mate. But it is entertaining when you get hooked. Makes me remember the good old days in me dads garage as a lad, freezing my bollox off practising 501 or playing Cricket with me arl fella...and keeping one eye out for 'Boris' the donkey legged spider!

I think the quality of the BDO darts this year (and last) has been very poor. When the top players (except Mike Gregory) defected to the PDC in '93, the quality of the BDO hit rock bottom. But in the subsequent years, the quality got better and better, producing some cracking matches - Les Wallace and Steve Beaton springs to mind. However, since Barney has switched over, with other top players like Merv King following, then the BDO has took a nose dive. the fact that Martin Adams is the reigning champion and this years semi finalist goes to prove it. While Adams is a likable darts player, he wouldn't even get near the quarter finals in the PDC.
