Dude, if you knew how much I gambled you'd sh!t a brick i kid you not lol.

The only way i really make money is on novelty bets. That's usually where the bookies do the least homework so it's possible for a steal.

I like doing accumulators on Saturdays for a laugh, what better reason to chill in front of SSN on a saturday afternoon with a few beers
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I do a fiver accumulator (5 teams) on the football usually Tranmere at home, Rochdale , The Dons etc
Then i do a 50p yankee on the horses at a cost of £5.50 and I head straight for the door and get the hell out.
:talktothehand

An odd flutter is fine, but going in there with the intention of beating the bookie is madness.

Everyone was getting on Rushden and Diamonds who were away
to Weymouth. Weymouth are going bankrupt and played all their youth players.

Rushden won 9-0.

They were 8-5 this morning, but 4-9 at kick off.

My kind of bet that Eff. It's actually extremely rare for bookies to change football odds prior to a match (only in odd cases like this does it happen) and that does give the punter a slight chance. This particularly applies if you have a mid table team with one absolutely outstanding player who gets injured during the week. An injury or two or a player being sold can change the probabilities and in instances such as the one you've highlighted the punter can make a bit of money. I've always thought football betting was the ebst way of all to give yourself a chance of finishing in front.

I would say to guys though who do their 5 quid accumulator every week and stick 5-6-7 matches in, scale it back. You want an ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM of three games in there, and even then you want AT LEAST ONE match which you consider to be an absolute certainty. If the Mancs are playing Stoke at Home, don't worry about the fact it's 1/6 on the football coupon, stick it in and find a couple to go with it. If you can try and find a 4/5 chance and a 6/4 to go with it, you'll have yourself a little just over 4/1 treble. Now I know 52.50 for your tenner treble doesn't sound as good as the 456.75 which your acca will give you once every three seasons (if you're lucky), but with careful selection you can finish in front, which is nice.

Give yourself a chance, and cut down on the number of selections.

Paddy Powers already have, but its good publicity. Say they pay out 10k as they hardly took any bets, its free publicity so they make the money back.

Plus, everyone who reads about it will spend more money with Paddys as a result.
