Daws, Im kinda a bit dumb when it comes to betting, what would I win if I put £10 on a bet that was 2/9 ?

I understand 4/1  as in place a tenner win 4 times plus your ten back, but 2/9 ???

I love the footy bets myself

but since eastwoods have changed to Ladbrokes - the fun has gone from it.  :sleepy:

Still...it improves your football knowledge of the lower leagues  :grinning:

Just works the opposite way dude
so at 2/9   every £9 wins ya £2

so you would get around £12.50 I think

yeah 2/9 think of 1 to 4.5. so for every 4.50 you get one back. stay away from that unless you are putting on a lot!

The odds are 1.81 Arsenal,  2.9 Chelsea, and bigger the others.

I had to check that Mick, and you know what? You're right.

I think that's what they call a rick(?)

Get on it, Chelseas five points clear of Arsenal?

It's surely a mistake.

how much can you get on it tho? 20p?
plus, look closely people. It's the head to head league... not the premier league. So its points gained playing against each other, not everyone else...

gotta always read the small print before you lose all your money

:( Yes we have a slightly premature celebration of having "chopped it right off" on our hands here. (Thanks to Daws btw for putting me right). I've had a couple a quid on that n'all (the Chelsea one). I've not even bothered going into it too closely once I'd realised my ricket, but suffice to say I'll be cheering the mighty Chels' on when they visit the Emirates  :D .

On a sidenote, I'll fire off a wee email to Betfair for not making it a bit clearer. "Top London club" is hardly making it obvious.

If anybody did lose their house on the bet and Chelsea don't win at the Emirates, I've got a spare room over here in NZ which you're welcome to :p .

well I dont gamble too much if I'm honest, mostly football but I'll have a flutter on the horses and the dogs, usually for a laugh with mates though

Just struck me that I don't mind a bet, Nanny usually puts a few quid on the football and Dundalk mentioned a few he had on, so thought we could have a thread to talk about it all; brag about how much we're winning and share hints and tips thats all.

I appreciate your concern tho  :D
