We had gone into Going Places just before christmas to book a week away in September. We always go to the same place (just outside Magaluf) and we always stay in the same apartments. The last time we went it was about £600 for the week for the both of us. This time they where looking £800. I thought it was a bit steep. So we decided to do it on the internet. Booked the flights last night. We are flying with Easyjet for £168 plus £4 booking charge for visa. The only downside is, we have to go for 8 days instead of 7 I'm booking the apartments tonight. We are getting that for £350. So all in the holiday is costing us £522. We have saved ourselves a small fortune!!!
This is the first time we have booked our holiday like this and I'm a bit nervous about the room. I'm scared of getting there and they have no record of the booking. Has anyone else booked a holiday like this? And if you have was everything ok at the other end?

Sorry Kaz , can't help , never pre booked accommodation unless I've actually stayed there before .First time in a new place I just rock up and and sort it from there .

We're booking the apartments that we usually stay in. We know most of the people in Cala Vines and the apartments themselves are basic but very clean and comfortable. Just a bit worried at arriving and they know nothing about it. But as my other half said, we can always sleep on the beach!!!

nice one JB , I had a great time in southern california some years back . Loved it around San Diego you can make day trips to Tijuana from there .

We are flying in to LA and then staying in Loewes in Santa Monica for a few days before driving to San Francisco. We'll take our time getting up there. After San Fran we plan on going to Redwood and Yosemite national parks, all over North California and finally ending up in Vegas.

Simply cannot wait.

        always wanted to do that - my brother did it a few years ago, san diego up to LA, big sur etc and loved every minute. judging by his pictures it's some coastline. ENJOY

well unfortunately had to come back early. my girlfriends mum has been given last rites. for all those catholics out there, you know what i mean. things were bad for her and she's not stopped crying.

i had no words for her, buit just to get her back to her mum for her last hours
