Whatever you think of Saddam.....and I know he committed some heinous crimes...
But the hanging made me feel sick to my stomach.

And I don't think it will solve anything..just give some extremists an excuse for inciting revenge.

And don't forget Mostafa el sadda is waiting in the wings.. :no

I know this is in retrospect, but I don't think the Americans or the British should have gone to war with Iraq...

It is our brave servicemen and women who have had to pay the price....and of course the Iraqi people who are caught up in all of this..

All he had to do was sell us some cheap oil, agree not to invade neighbouring countries or develop WMD's, and we would have gladly kept him in power.

I would have loved saddam to be slowly tortured and left to rot in a 6 by 6 cell, but like a lot of other people ill not lose any sleep over his hanging. Good riddance!

Inhuman scumbags like Saddam deserved to be treated how thy treat others, he should of been tortured. He told his men to torture children in front of their own parents, children FFS!

The man deserves no sympathy, and I felt no emotion watching that video - just a worthless b@stard getting what he deserves.

Heinous criminals deserve the crimes they commit to be exacted upon them.

This is going to be a really major issue, sure he deserves to be hanged because of what he did, especially in the dujail massacres, but what everyone is forgetting this may make it worst for the Iraqis! This is a huge tense for them because they are hanging on a line between peace and civil war, and hanging saddam won't help. There alot of saddam supporters who will do terrible things because of what happened (not to mention saddam's ex-loyal troops) and may lead to a civil war in the country.

I wanted him dead, he is a mass murderer! and btw ciggy, There is no problem for it to broadcast live, people want proof that he is dead, so they showed the truth.

I think I heard one of the people who wrapped the black scarf saying when he pulled the rope this

" Ila Al Ga7eem"

meaning " To Hell" in arabic.
