I liked S@int he was a decent poster.I know people come and go but there is nothing wrong with acknowledging people that have put a lot of time and effort into the forum.

S@int was a top poster, sad that he has gone. But you can't have a discussion on here without some muppet either casting insults or dismissing a decent post with ridiculous dismissive statements. And the mods do little about it, they are worse than refs in terms of consistency and letting stuff go.

I got a second card, whether because I cast aspersions on a mod or because of something I said I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing since what I originally posted would have been ignored, well you figure it out. I reported a poster, got a PM lecturing me on how my post was insulting even though any insult was either implied or had to be read into it, but the fact is why debate it via PM?!?! The post was reported, make your own decision as to whether what a poster said deserved action/censoring, don't debate it! It achieved nothing because clearly the mod couldn't see a distinction, not that I was trying to avoid a card.

Anyway they point if this forum has noone in control, posters can freely insult and post cr ap to their heart's content and I can see why S@int wanted out. I suspect he wanted his account deleted to take away temptation to come back, but you can reregister anyway (not within the rules I'm sure, but it is possible) I get bored with the cyclical arguments, some are just thrown in almost as a matter of course as if they are well established facts. Well if statements were (undeniable) facts then there wouldn't be a debate. I don't see the "rough times" as an excuse either, some posters need to discuss football and not constantly have digs at other posters for what they post rather than debate the points made. While some may find posters approaches 'amusing', this should be about football and not trying to undermine a post without mentioning anything football ONCE in a post.

Maybe some spend way too much time on here and need to either get out more, or try other forums with a mix of fans. Argue the toss with mancs or geordies or brummies, I think a few on here would get themselves ripped a new one and banned very quickly. Modding on here is a joke

Lets get a few things straight.

The moderator that carded you made it quite clear that you were carded for your ongoing spat with another member, and yet you profess to be unsure for the reasons for you card, obviously a half truth designed to support your rail against the moderation of the forum.

The “lecture” you received from me was no more that an observation that although abuse is not to be encouraged the forum is not a Sunday school. I also suggested we examined the response you gave to the member who’s post you reported, as you're post was imo not without fault, hardly a lecture.

I and another moderator have also advised you that what is perceived as your attempts at shadow moderating the forum we’re not appreciated. Despite this you’ve subsequently gone on to make continued disparaging references to the moderation of the forum. If you’re not happy with the forum feel free to leave, unlike the member mentioned in this threads title it’s unlikely that you’ll be missed. In the meantime I’m issuing you a further card for your persistent politicking .

The mods, in fairness to them, are never gonna be seen as angels, and have an impossible task. it is though, still our job, as the people, to take the pi$$ out of the klinks at every given opportunity

Well S@int has left and had his account deleted....
I just wanted to say how sorry I am that it came to this.
He was one of the best posters on here, being humourous, intelligent and intuitive.
He was a gentleman and a friend. I will miss him and IMO he will be a big loss to the forum as a whole.
Thank you S@int for the time and effort you put into our forum.

I never post a thread, prob because I'm a lil apprehensive 'bout the reaction I'll get to whatever the topic.
But this is a discussion forum so people have a right to say what they feel, whether positive or not... and that includes me.

Yes, S@int has been gone for a while. I was undecided about posting a thread on him, but the manner in which he has gone and knowing how much input he had and how much of his time he gave us was the deciding factor for me.
I wanted to show my appreciation for someone whom I felt was invaluable to this forum. Yes others have gone who have been missed but, I, personally, wanted to make a statement about this poster.

Well I am currently contemplating leaving, the forum's become sh 1te and I've now got three cards and ALL because of moderator(s) being self important egotist. I didn't bother reading woof's "warning" PM but no doubt it was for what I said in the forum about being carded, well I'll repeat it for the people in the cheap seats and let woof have his 'hour of glory' by carding or banning me for his own pathetic little reason - and I'm sure if he's half a brain and can even consider it objectively he'd realise he's handled the whole thing cr ap

card 1 - for alluding to the fact that mods were effectively gestapo when the rule about wishing Liverpool to lose becoming a red card offence.

card 2 - didn't read the PM but have little doubt it was because Woof decided to PM me when I reported a post and made the whole thing personal when he could have just carded me for the reason he PM'd me rather than take it as a discussion. Have to assume he either likes the person whose post I reported, is shagging him or something

card 3 - no doubt because I 'went public'

Well ban me mr moderator, boost your ego and take yourself and your role way too seriously. Well actually it's just an ordinary member given 'responsibility (:laugh: ) and getting off on one of the saddest power trips there is. Don't fret, this place seriously ain't all that these days anyway.

I'll say goodbye now, as no doubt this will either end now or come to a rapid conclusion thanks to moderating self importance and stupidity, goodbye to the worthwhile members on here, and  to all the idiots that fire abuse and insults at the earliest opportunity but NEVER (:rolleyes:) get carded by the moderators (:rolleyes:) and so    for doing such a great job making this place the sh1 thole it is. The point made in woof's PM was so lame it was unbelievable, pointing out my 'carding offence' - I could have been banned many times over as could others on here, but funnily enough you were only using it subjectively 'tit for tat' as if to excuse you doing your 'job' mr jobsworth

oh and don't bother PM'ing me to say "you have been warned", I don't bother reading your justifications. You and I know they're flimsy at best ie if it was a neutral judging they'd laugh and not even bother

Your arguement against the mods seems a bit paradoxical as well. On the one hand your asking for heavier moderation and bans for flame wars etc. and on the other your undermining the mods authority?

I hope you pull back from this and decide to stick around because your a good poster who provides a lot of interesting info. for the forum.
