Roy keane's view of footballers - They're soft

I loved reading Keane's comments today that modern day footballers are weak and pathetic. He said that many wanted to live in London just so their WAG can shop. He said that he has no respect for a man in such a short career letting his wife/girlfriend dictate to him. He went on to say that if they are any good that they will retire at 35 as multi millionaires and can live where they want.

In fairness, he admitted Chelsea, Aresnal and maybe spurs were fair enough but some clubs have low attendances and are poor quality.

Keane has done a lot to p*ss me off over the years and this isn't a thread about him, I just agree with his view on modern day, hair band wearing , white booted, calender posing , "so called" footballers.

I really really like Roy Keane.

I feel I shouldn't obviously because of the United connection but as a player I had a lot of respect for and I have a lot more respect for him as a person.

Did you respect the way he went off at Mick McCarthy during Irelands WC. The spoilt jumped up c.unt, and the way he intentionally went in to break Haalands leg.

The blokes a kunt of the highest order.

Those two points (especially Haaland) put me off him but most else I hugely admire - great player.

Anyway, this thread is supposed to about his views on modern day footballers which I agree with.

He was also very respectful to LFC and its fan's knowledge of the game in his book.

Keane does posses many qualities that could be admired ,eg he's the kind of fella you'd like next to you in a bar room brawl . His admission however that during a match he deliberately set out to hospitalize ,and therefore possibly end the career of another player, makes him in my eyes a thug and a kunt of the highest order.

He's just pi$$ed off cause no one would sign for Sunderland and he had to go and buy Michael Chopra, a guy who makes Teddy Sheringham look like the feckin roadrunner

I still think he's ace lads.

Sorry.

The haaland thing I think was bad like but it happened. I'm sure he didn't mean it to damage him to the extent it did, but I won't defend it.

Apart from that he's class, and that includes telling Mick McCarthy what he thought.

He's a born winner.

Excuse my obviously poor understanding of the English language but surely
but I won't defend it.

proceeded immediately by

:D

Ok here's my take on the Haaland thing.

Haaland was screaming a Keane a year earlier when Keane had done his knee in badly calling him a fu.cking cheat etc while he was lying on the ground in agony.

Keane seen an oppertunity to get him back a year or so later and did.

I don't think he knew his challenge then would end the lads career but it did, unlucky.

It was bad what he done, but I feel many others would of reacted in the same way.

I have some toast for my breakfast, then 2 cups of tea because I'm a greedy bastard.

Anyone who has the time for two cups of tea at breakfast hasn't got a job to go to . They're not greedy just f'uckin' lazy or unemployable, which is it ?    :D
