Mentality is very important in these situations Stu. It won't be easy, but as said above, try to stay positive.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Stu. I sincerely hope all goes well for you. I have no experience of this kind of stuff in my family, so I'm going to be absolutely no use to you whatsoever. But, I can only repeat what others have said. You're young and that alone is the greatest thing for battling any illness. Keep a positive mental attitude.

Best wishes for Monday.

Stu, I just came across this thread and I'm very sorry to hear about this. I dont have anything different to add but like Tonyeh said, you have age on your side and if anyone can beat something with sheer persistence and conviction its you. Please keep us updated and all the best for Monday.

tonyeh 30 is not young. :D

My parents have drove all the way back from Spain to come and stay for a while... don't know whether that's good or bad! :D

There is still a 5%-10% chance that its not cancer, but I tend to be a firm believer in people knowing their own bodies and I'm not one to go down easily. Cleaned my flat up today and it knocked me for six, three hours of constant cleaning and I felt like I'd gone ten rounds with Tyson. Just starting to feel fairly normal now but still can't catch my breath.

My missus is trying to convince herself its not the C word, but I'm pretty sure it is... anything else is a bonus. I'm not to bad in myself though which is good.

To be fair lads, the support, even from the members I consistently argue with is a big help. Brings one or two things into perspective. :)

Just seen this thread.

Blimey.

Keep positive, I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through. Finger's crossed the prognosis is good.

Oh and one last  thing.  DO NOT TRY TO READ ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET!!!  Reading stuff on Web MD and such will just really mess with your head.

This , I had a health scare a 18 months ago and reading the internet will just fck with your mind  big time

Walk on Stu and all the best

Same here...had a health scare a few years back and made the mistake of using Google to search my symptoms and scared myself silly.

Just take it one step at a time and keep an eye on your weight and health. If you spot anything unusual, then note it down and tell the docs. However, don't get ahead of yourself, but take it one step at a time and worry about the worst case scenarios if it happens.

On a lighter note Stu it only took you three hours to clean the flat presumably because of your parents imminent arrival  When my son finished at university it took about three months to get the place looking reasonably habitable !!

Was your missus on the balcony having a fag while you were on your hands and knees sweating blood in your marigolds? Only joking Mrs Stu

Good luck tomorrow Stu.

She's the reason it took three hours and not nine! :D

Don't know whether to laugh or cry at the fact I'm hoping I've got T.B.

If TB stands for Talking ***** Stu ,don't worry you've always had it  :D

Seriously though ,hope you get the all clear tomorrow mate , I had a scare when my daughter developed a lump on the right side
of her neck and after the biopsy had proved it wasn't cancer they suspected Tuberculosis for that as well ,although after she had
the lump removed she was in the Infectious diseases ward in the Royal for a month until they had exhausted all the other prognosis's
she's absolutely fine now ,but f*ck me it was worrying for a while ....Anyway I hope you hear something similar tomorrow kid, fingers
crossed and best of luck.
