Paris trip - Final with the gooners

Got back from Paris last night.

Just thought I'd say we had a sound time with the Gooners fans.
Obviously they were buzzin before the game but we had a good crack with them.

They were even saying Liverpool were the best club in England.
Hearing that from a rival fan does give you a buzz.
We watched the match in a pub with two gooners, gutted for them.

The Barca fans were all over the place, loads under the Eiffel Tower.

I'll try and put a photo on in a bit from my phone

Like you mate we were booked for Paris. We put it to the vote, and switched our flights to Amsterdam.Didnt fancy being there if Arsenal won,but our main concern was the price of the ale. :D

I was in Paris in February, beer costs about €7 on average for a "glass".

never sit OUTSIDE a bar in paris (however tempting it may be) as the prices are invariably lower if you sit INSIDE ideally propping up the bar

either that or go to a supermarket and get 10 bottles of pelforth for about 4euros. then get p*ssed in the street like a proper englishman

Yeah I noticed that, you pay the price to watch the world go by. Once I got wind of the situation involving the seating arrangements, I like the cheap git I am I virtually sat on the bar for the remainder of my stay  :D

I had a 14 Euro glass of beer in the Champs Elise once. Good museums, but I can think of at least 10 cities in Europe I'd rather go.

I love Italy. Beautiful women, perfect scenery, cheap beer, fantastic art galleries and museums, brilliant weather and food that'll make your tastebuds reject anything else. Rome has the history, Florence has the culture and Naples has the people.

Yeah, Venice is beautiful, as long as you've got a peg for your nose and a lot of deoderant

paris isn't particularly expensive as long as you don't go drinking in the obvious tourist hotspots, just like if you live in london you don't go out in covent garden, leicester square etc

stick to the backstreet bars and sit inside and it's no more expensive than most UK city centre bars. food is also pretty cheap if you avoid the tourist places. anywhere on the left bank/latin quarter of paris has decent prices and some great bars. i spent a summer in paris after uni and been back loads of times since and gotta say it just gets better with every visit
