eid is at the end of he fasting month mate, i can only really talk for malaysia but its a nice time, the muslims have something called 'open house' and they basically spend the day visiting friends and families houses and eating and talking etc. i got invited to many and i always used to go, and i used to enjoy it and was always made very welcome in peoples homes.

i suppose in a way you could compare the activities to our christmas time where we visit friends and family. kuala lumpur used to empty somewhat as many people would return to their kampungs or home towns for the festivities

Forgive me if i sound patronising but metlehead said that he has another fast coming up in a couple of months?

WTF is that all about?
My sister has a pet tortoise and it fasts around Xmas but i dont think its a muslim...(its called Shelly btw)

Can someone please explain why muslims fast?
Everytime i have tried to have this conversation,Karim has been here!It would be good to have an understanding without him talking about all that cr@p!
