Both don't have evidence to prove their existence or non existence, and faith can also be belief without proof.  So technically ghosts are about faith too, just non religious faith :D.

Not for people who have actually witnessed them, or felt them in their presence. A person can only be extremely narrow or closed minded to dismiss the existence of them. If scientist can prove in theory that there are worm holes in space that can rip and distort time, alternate realities and such, singularities etc etc, then what is so far fetched about ghosts if all we are is energy formed through a chemical reaction?

My family once lived in a haunted house when I was a child. I think it was the spirit of the old chap who lived there before. My mum, bro and me were aware of him. And on occasions our back room would smell strongly of cigarette smoke, but non of us smoked. I found it quite scary there, was glad when we moved. I know, from experience, that ghosts do exist.

It was probably the toaster left on, or your dad (who was pretending he was off the fags) having a quick smoke when you lot were in bed.

Really, it is idiotic to believe in ghosts. You were a kid and all kids are stupid but you should now realise this.

Difference is most ghost encounters have been debunked by psychologists and scientists alike. Every controlled experiment designed to capture ghost activity has failed.

The fact they have entertainment shows designed to scare participants, when it's clearly rigged, shows that if you go into a situation believing an outcome before its happened you will believe that something HAS happened.

Pareidolia is the term for when someone recognises significance in the things you see and hear when in fact there aren't any.

You think they're gonna hang around when you're setting up your cameras?  ???

Like they're gonna fall for that one.

There's also cases to the contrary that support claims of the paranormal and the supernatural. It is when the camera is trained on something other with no intent whatsoever to capture such an "anomoly" is something that can be construed as actual evidence when science can neither explain it or disprove it.

to say somthing is paranormal you must first understand what is normal, paranormal means beyond normal and in todays work normal keeps changing.
if 50 years ago you see a man that could run 100m in under 10 sex some would say he is paranormal.

halley's comet was said to be paranormal for almost 2000 years but today we see it as just something normal as we understand why it is there.

who knows what we will think is normal in 50 years time that right now seems paranormal to us.
