Not for people who have actually witnessed them, or felt them in their presence. A person can only be extremely narrow or closed minded to dismiss the existence of them. If scientist can prove in theory that there are worm holes in space that can rip and distort time, alternate realities and such, singularities etc etc, then what is so far fetched about ghosts if all we are is energy formed through a chemical reaction?

Difference is most ghost encounters have been debunked by psychologists and scientists alike. Every controlled experiment designed to capture ghost activity has failed.
The fact they have entertainment shows designed to scare participants, when it's clearly rigged, shows that if you go into a situation believing an outcome before its happened you will believe that something HAS happened.
Pareidolia is the term for when someone recognises significance in the things you see and hear when in fact there aren't any.
