BABEL RAPS

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

Rapping is my hobby
Rappers dont want trouble
I'm the Liverpool star those bitches are loving
I know what time it is - I've just bought a new watch
Ill give you a punchline: eight seconds, youll be knocked down
Towel in the ring
My family in the V.I.P
No caviar for us, Surinamers eat chicken
Ya'll know nothing: this is the Premier League
Representing the G
You can see this n***a with number 19
Ya'll can f*** off, I f*** with a whole team
Ya'll can talk, but you dont get anything with it
Ya'll can't be like me, my status is too high
If rappers come to close, I have to take space
People watch YouTube to learn my actions
I have those skills, try some tricks
I was a poor n***a
Now I make f***ing money
I went from the Euro to the English pound
I put money in my pocket, now I spend money on nothing
I like it this way, I'm sure you like it
If somebody want beef, well come on
I like it with some pepper, homie
I'm sure in my life
Give me the f***ing ball, you lose both legs
And now my competition is past
If you hate me because of that, I say youre right
If I was you, I would hate me too
I have the s**t homie
I cant even spend all my money
Keep your daughter in sight. or you will be my family
Ill take your daughter and let her make clean
101 Barz - this is the first time but I came hard!
I came alone, I don't have a back-up
I came because I mean it
Check it

'i know what time it is - Babeltime!'

seriously tho this kid has issues...
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Feck me, if he were even a quarter the footballer he thinks he is we'd actually have a decent player on our hands. :Oo:

i dont realise what the point of this thread is, so what if Babel raps for hobby, its not that what makes him a poor football player ??? i tell u what, if he played guitar for a rock band in his spare time i bet it wouldnt even get a mention.

Ha, so it is! He may have to rethink one or two of those lyrics. :D

Anyways, I guess his rap career is going a little better than his footy career at the moment:

Liverpool FC footballer Ryan Babel collaborates with Sway

'He's a sick rapper' according to Sway

    * August 18, 2009 |

Sway has confirmed that Liverpool FC and Holland footballer Ryan Babel is to feature on his forthcoming album.

The grime artist confirmed that Babel raps on one track on the LP, which is provisionally called 'The Signature 2'.

"He's actually on the song with me and Neutrino," Sway told BBC Newsbeat. "Yeah, Ryan Babel's a good mate of mine. He's a nice guy, he's a sick rapper. The way he flips his flow is marvellous, man, so I wanted him to do a bit - half Dutch, half British - and he really pulled it off, man. I think it's a track that people are gonna like."

Sway added that he did not think Babel needed to ask permission to appear on the track from Liverpool FC manager Rafa Benitez.

"He's his own man, he wanted to do the track so we got together and made it happen," said Sway. "We linked up in New York as well. He's a nice guy and I have a lot of fun with him."

Other guests Sway confirmed to appear on the album, which is scheduled to be released in 2010, include Craig David and Tinchy Stryder, reports the BBC.

I can't recall the last time Babel managed to "flip his flow" on the pitch...  :Oo:

TBPH, I posted it as a laugh because I find Babel a rather comic figure at times.  But, the more I look at those lyrics in the first post the more I wonder.  Here's a lad that is rapping about his connections to Liverpool and, in the same breath, is talking about 'bitches' and people needing to lock up their daughters and how he's got money to burn now because of his contract with Liverpool.  Frankly, it reflects rather poorly on the club.  If he wants to rap fine, it's his free time and he can spend it how he likes, but I'm not sure he should be mentioning the club as part of his poser, gangsta wannabe schtick.  ???

but do you honestly beleive that his "muscic career" effects the way he plays? because i dont, the guy plays poor for Liverpool because he isnt a very good footballer. I cant see how what he does in his spare time affects that unless he's taking drugs or playing another sport for a hobby.
