Speaking of carrotts. There is zero evidence that they are good for eyesight. In fact, this myth was made up by the British Govt. during the war to encourage children to eat homegrown vegetables and also to cover up their use of radar technology in their night-fighters. They perpatrated the myth that RAF night-fighter pilots used to eat carrots so they could see German bombers.

Also, the is zero evidence that human beings need 5 portions of fruit a day to maintain a healthy diet. More than likely the "5 portions" was made up by some advertising exec. But, there's no factual basis in it whatsoever.

We also don't need to drink 5 pints of water a day either. It is good to take in around that amount though in general, but we get a lot it through our food intake. Drinking the excess is overkil and will probably only increase our trips to the toilet more than anything else.

In space, astronauts are unable to cry or shed tears because there’s no gravity pull hence the tears are unable to come out.

Did you know that the phrase "rule of thumb" is derived from an old English law which stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb.
