Amir Khan has won his latest fight. It's great to see such a young guy full of enthusiasm and so eager to learn about how to become the best.

No doubt a future world champion, for cert. Hasn't he grown stronger.. almost punching out Barry Mcguigans lights in sparrign session too

:D

he's won against another 3rd rate puppet opponent, but that's not to say he isn't world class. The step up in calibre of opponent when he goes professional is going to be huge but I firmly believe he's up to it, nice one Amir :nod

We wont know until they put him in with someone that actually hits him. He did ok  tonight . And well done Joe calzaghe -still hammerin on ,even with one hand-the longest reigning  champ in the world now.

Khan was better last night than he has been previously, a lot stronger.

Reminds me a lot of naseem hamed but without the annoying ego, seems a really down to earth lad.

I still wouldn't say he's been properly tested yet, but his potential is huge if he keeps improving like last night.

As for Calzaghe, pure class.  He'll get the credit he deserves when he nails Lacey in a few months time.

Well obviously it has been only his second fight since turning pro, it's part of a startegy to get prepared to fight stronger opponents and last longer in the ring. We are only gettin to know of his progress cos of his Olympic success, otherwise u would not have heard of him... at this stage.

So on that note,  of course his progress should be judged on that basis... and he is doing brilliantly :)

Brightest prospect for years.. and a breath of fresh air.

i wonder if you would have even mentioned him if he was white
he is of asian background and classes himself as british, so therefore he is not asian, he is british with an asian background. are you asian or british

the guy has fought one decent fighter in the Cuban and got well beaten. lets see how he can fight when he is up against anyone half decent.

and yes, given your past record i would question anything you said. (i thought i would give you an excuse to go and cry to the mods again boo hoo)

He beat the cuban in a rematch after olympics. I believe he has all the POTENTIAL to be great. Every fightter needs to fight journeymen for the first 18 months - 12 fights and then decent but not dangerous for the next 18 months.

has skills of naz without the know it all attitude which lead to Naz's downfall.

Lets not call him great until he goes to america and beats the best they and Mexico have. I think he should go to america in a year or two and have the step un in sparring as the standard of boxing is much higher there. I wish him well , seems a decent lad.
