They really should have taken Sane, Germans have been very poor.

Most consistent team to reach knockouts i wonder when was the last time they went out in the groups.

Sometimes teams start to tick when they hit the knockouts.

Brazil, Spain, France all have got rhe squad to win the cup but have not played well.

I've got a feeling Belgium may go all the way.

Im supporting Senegal atm.

Germany fielded a team purely based on reputation.. abit like we've done over the previous 3 world cups. Players like Ozil, Kroos, Khedira, Muller are way too slow to be playing in the midfield together. Marco Reus is half the player he used to be with all the injuries he's suffered over the years.

They should have given younger inform players more of a chance .. Brandt should have started more games, and Sane and Gnabry should have gone to add abit of pace to the squad.

Ignorance has cost them.

Selfishly I want England to win the World Cup because we only have Hendo that will be affected and we will be covered at the start of next season in his position but it will affect our rivals more.

Salah is already on holiday, Firmino not playing much so all that is really left to worry about is Mane. We may be in good shape next season as I don't think we will be affected by a WC hangover as much as some other teams, we have Lovren, Hendo and Mane that are playing every game and that is about it. We need the players to have a good holiday so they can be back early for preseason preparations.

From the looks of it seems like majority from the prem are from Spurs and Mannure.

From ours yup seems like Mane will be the only one that we need to worry about.

Have to say I wasn't impressed by Allison tonight, he nearly gifted Serbia with a goal when he palmed a cross right into the path of their CF. no way is he worth £60m.

Saw that, when Brazil were 1-0 up the Serbs were putting pressure on, the the defense looked shaky and Allison was certainly flapping. I personally like Schmicael, solid and he is proven in the  prem as well as a proven winner. Him or Oblak I'd say.

5th World Cup in a row where the champion from the previous WC gets knocked out in the group stages. Germany absolutely got what they deserved.

Argentina should have been knocked out as well but I wouldn't be surprised if they now go on and win the damn thing.

Senegal go out on yellow cards  . Same thing could happen with England and Belgium for the first and second place.

Odd game this, the winner gets to meet Brazil in the quarters, it will be interesting to see how both sides approach it.
