It was a miss hit he said himself, and he wasnt exactly outstanding tonight just done a job of getting 3 points, Joe Cole has really started playing well on the wing, whod have thought?, We may see him becoming as important to Chelsea as Lampard, Duff and Terry.

i agree. everypone saying how good rooney and cole are (they are good... but) they only needed to pass normally, all this flash a$$ poncey back heel flip passes werent needed. england should have just passed and moved and would have created so much more.

i dont think gerrard was outstanding, someone pointed out the other day in another thread that gerrard sits back for england allowing lampard to get forward and i agree with him (or her). gerrard plays well within himself for england and his influence over games has dimminished since lampard started playing regulary, before lampard in fact gerrard was englands best player for the last two years.
looks like he`s playing to orders to me.
if sven wants to use gerrard that way well thats up to him, but he`s wasting his best player in my opinion.

??? What about Beckham, hes a joke it was embarressing watching him last night, he thought he jesus christ almighty, and lookin at the Azebejan players like they had no right being on the same pitch as him.
Ive always defended him when hes been treated unfair by the media, but last night, he made a laughing stock out of Englands football team and being the captain of it.

i thought he had a good game.
as for gerrard, i think him and lampard have seen they cant work as well together as they do seperately.
what we needed was more direct football, take the game by the scruff and just score a load of goals.
