Unbelievable pass. The timing and the execution sets it apart. Any fecker could aim one out wide to a full back but to get that level of accuracy on it and make it an easy take for the player while he's on the move is special.

I had a look at him a couple of other clips http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDGX8zuHYK0&feature=related. That's how passing opens up play, even if it isn't all Xavi and Iniesta 'killer' ball stuff. And people said he was overrated.

Just move on, Xabi Alonso no longer has any ties with Liverpool Football Club so f**k w*****g over him and start focusing your attention on those who are still at Anfield and didn't p**s off once Real Madrid came calling.

Focus your attention on those who remained loyal to this club.

Okay before this starts into a big Alonso debate we will put a stop to it RIGHT HERE

It was simply a admiration of Alonso pass yesterday and Arbeloas finish.

Sublime vision, he did a 70 yard cross-field half volley earlier in the game straight to Granero. One of the best passers in world football if not the best.

Hurts watchin Xabi tbh... and the effect his absence has caused.

Although I know DD wasn't trying to get any kind of reaction maybe this would have been better off in the worldwide football section or whatever it's called.

Couldn't you have just admired Johnson's wonderful pass and Torres' superb finish for our third yesterday?

Thread moved but I'm glad you created it DD.  Alonso's always been a fave of mine but I've had no sense of how he's got on at Madrid.  Nice to see he's still got that killer passing instinct and nice to see Arbeloa playing well as well.  Nothing wrong with keeping up with former players.

I thought you would have gone for Kuyt's twin (bottom right) Nanny rather than Dawson's
