Id say Gary Mac but i think Heggem really could have been one of the best full backs in the prem, he was quality, although there is an enormous pile of sh!te in that lot. And he didnt buy Stig Kvarme or Berger

yeah good spot, and leonardson and freidel were evans buy`s as well.
to answer his question though its got to be sami hypia, our defence after the retirement of hansen was generally a shambles until sami signed. players like mark wright and john scales had decent spells at times but overall any outfit who came to anfield fancied their chances of getting a goal including the likes of bristol rovers and bolton (then a lower division outfit)
