Simple really. If you were Rafa the Gaffa, would you give Pellegrino a new one year contract? Do you see him in the team? Do you see him in a more of a coaching role? Also, if I've spelt his name wrong, feel free to correct me.

Well Benitez has said that he was the man who organised the Valencia defence

He's a good squad player and I think he has another season left in him

He's said he;s happy to be part of the squad and was bought in because of his attitude and his willingness to help and work with youngsters etc

If he has ambition in this direction he will want to get involved and prove himself

Looks like win win all round  :D

I say yes, his attitude looks spot on, even if he is 35. :)

Yeah, he's a very good professional which rubs off well on the younger lads and is also showing much improved form

There's no reason he couldn't manage another season cos his game doesn't rely on pace anyway

I think Rafa will give him another year - he seems to be key to teaching Rafa's Zonal Marking strategy!

Definately keep him I think. Only regret is that we never had him five years ago. I bet he was absolutely top drawer in his prime.

How the ****** is Finnan old?

Hyypia and Pelle, well wow! Look at Milan's back four, their age combined is close to a 100 if not more yet they are still top class.

Indeed he was Mick. I remember him well at Valencia, particularly in the Hector Cuper days.

He had an awful debut against Southampton but he has improved a lot since then and there would be no harm in keeping him here for next season.

Thumbs up from me.
