Andy Carroll signs for West Ham

The Premiership - General Discussion

15mill is a decent price for Carroll. He was probably worth that much when we got him from Newcastle but that's a different story. He's a good player. Potentially a very good player and one who could play at the highest level. Its a shame his options seem to be limited to either the bench at Liverpool or a move to a midtable side like West Ham. I actually think he'd do exceptionally well if he (for whatever reason) played for a side like Tottenham or Everton.

Probably a fair price for him. Don't forget we got 2 million for him when they loaned him.

Yep, lets hope he goes for it. It was a crazy deal two years ago, unbelievable that he's the British record signing of all time.

I hear there's a fleet of taxis outside his house willing to take him to Lime Street and the police have cleared the roads.

Fergie retired, Rafa left those classless chavs, Rugby manager Pullis has parted company from Stoke and we get 15 mil for Carroll

What a great start to off season

It wouldn't surprise me if he turned the move down - I reckon he really wants Newcastle to bid

I would much rather sell to West ham then Newcastle. West ham have been very easy to deal with over the years I.E Masch Benayoun J.cole and even Andy Carroll.

Having sold Bemba Ba and just survived relegation I wouldn't be surprised to see them spend some cash this summer. The manager also had a few squeaky bum moments job wise so expect he'll stop being a smartarse now and pay up - to ensure his own survival.

To put things into context of how it's been the last few years, I think a lot of credit has to go to Brendan and the club now for acting quickly. We had a good January window and it's good to see that we're pulling the trigger on necessary decisions right from the get go. The added advantage of this is that the team has survived without him for a year and the impact will not be felt, just an influx of cash. Good on the club.

I have always felt sorry for him though. Wasn't his choice to be sold and certainly not at that price and the media set him up for a fall right from the start. Considering the support the Suarez has received you could see the writing was always on the wall for him. Thank god for Fat Sam.

Why are we talking as if it's a done deal? He needs to agree to move first.
