I read an article a few months back that they had the most passes or passing success rate after Barcelona or something like that. His side loved to keep the ball and pass it around, no long ball, no counter attack, just pressing and playing the ball from the back.

I have a semi on just thinking about it.

Rodgers prefers the 4-2-3-1 system. Below is his all time premier league 11. No Gerrard I notice. Some of our players will have to adjust their game to fit into his short passing and possession style. I’m thinking Carragher, Adam, Gerrard, Shelvey, etc. But I can see him using Lucus and Henderson as the central two. They are his type of players.

"Continue progress" is an interesting term on account of the fact we've failed to make any progress for 3 seasons and are actually in a clear decline. I think things are going to get worse before they get better.

Looks like Martinez has bottled it again.

Seemed nailed on he was first choice but as much as he keeps banging on
about full control (and no top club offers that) I just think hes scared to
gamble his reputation.

I guess its another season pushing old man Whelan around Wigan or a
crack at the Villa job for him unless he grows a pair between now and
Friday.
